Don’t do this to yourself. There has only been one Joe Burrow and he has the greatest single season ever. Cause there’s never been another Joe Burrow. Hopefully he is. But if he does just enjoy it when it comes.

What the hell are you smoking, Ole Miss was last in the NCAA in defense, Brandon Harris could of thrown for 1,000 against them

Oh I didn’t realize ole miss was the only game he started out played in... oh wait...

I’m not saying he’s gonna be burrow either. But damn give the man credit where credit’s is due. He’s better than Brandon Harris.

Ole Miss wasn't his first start. Florida was. On the road. In the swamp. In the fog. Against the 6th ranked team in the nation. Got the W.

I think there is some similarities, but a whole lot of differences. Joe B had plenty of time to mature, to learn, to soak in behind some really, really good defenses at OSU. I am always concerned when young guys are thrown to the wolves too early, I think that it hinders their development. I hope we have a wide open QB competition, I also hope that Brennan gets the not and allows Max and TJ some time to sit and learn and watch. I think that would be best for the program and the future of the players.

Max Jonson is the real deal.

People on here are so mad when we say we want to stick with Max and go from there. They think we owe Brennan something. Been saying the same shite since that kid stepped foot on campus. No one is entitled to anything. Injuries are part of the game. Want your job? Don’t fricking get hurt

Uh, let’s don’t get carried away here.

Comparing a true freshman after starting 2 games to a generational QB that won the Heisman & went No 1 overall in the draft isn’t fair.

I’m very excited about Max’s potential. Let’s see how this plays out over the coming months & years.

QB position at LSU hasn’t looked this promising in 15 years.

Max and KB kinda reminded me of JB and Chase the way they took over the game Saturday. But can max doit for 15 games? I hope so!

Max has a very bright future...but I can recall when TJ was the next great thing. Let's pump the brakes and watch the young man develop!! When he goes 15-0, win the Heisman, and set all kinds of records...THEN and ONLY THEN will he get the Burrow comparison!

That is your opinion, and it is shared by others.

My opinion, also shared by others, is that MJ is the next Joe Burrow.

I’m not crowning him yet but I see the same potential in Max as Joe demonstrated in 2019. All the pieces seem to be there for Max to make it happen.

Great WRs
Good RBs
Adequate OL
Film room junkie
Top notch processing speed
Good pocket presence and working to get better
Adequate arm strength
Quick release
The best resources (his dad being number one)

Needs to work on the following:
Understand presnap reads
Gain the coaching staffs confidence to call audibles
Work on chemistry with WRs and TEs on overtime
Get a little bigger and stronger

Playing up to JB’s level are the highest of high expectations but the tools are there for Max to meet or exceed those expectations.

Agree that opinions differ & we all are entitled to our own.

Great thing is Tiger fans have a front-row seat to watch a promising QB group grow & improve. Been since 2003 that the position looked as bright.

Agree

Also essential, is a 100% commitment to the Brady/Burrow up tempo Spread/RPO offense. It was half-stepped in 2020, though it looked like it was employed more in the last 2 games.

I’m a Max fan, but Finley and.Brennan both had great games, all three can ball.

I'll ignore this insane thread and agree with what you said here. We finally have what looks to be a long line of good QBs lined up:

Myles Brennan
Johnson/Finley
Garrett Nussmeier
Walker Howard

I hope not. These fans become suicidal when there is nothing to bitch about.

I noticed in the Ole Miss game, when his first receiver was covered, he went to the check off. Good days are ahead.

I laughed at your takes leading into the 2019 year and thought you were legit batshit crazy. Turns out you nailed it.

I want to tell you to pump the brakes a bit on Max, but god damnit you earned it after last year. I hope you're as right about Max as you were about Joe.

Stop. There will NEVER be another Joe Burrow. There is a reason last year was the greatest season ever by a QB along with the greatest team ever and why that doesn’t happen every year
