Auburn hid their interest in Harsin very well, no sites reported anything

247 had 7 or 8 iterations of their hot board and not one mention of Harsin anywhere.
Battling LSU's inside sources as either the most secretive or the worst in the country
Either smokescreens were rampant or they just got really desperate at the very end

It's been said a million times: Auburn doesn't have insiders. Especially considering Gus gave virtually zero access because he was so paranoid. I doubt that the AD just opened up and gave reporters the scoop just because Gus was gone for a week.

I’m guessing Hugh Freeze is Auburn’s next target to go with the Arkansas State coaches.

When he’s faced a P5 or BYU, He’s gotten blown out. The difference in his 68-16 record And Petersen’s 92-12 isn’t obvious on the surface level but it’s a pretty significant difference.
