After years of sitting through the les miles era, I am shocked that we actually pulled the trigger so quickly to get back on track.

Kudos to our organization (and I’m not talking about woody)

Agree. Also happy that it happened after the season.

How is it that we haven’t gotten rid of the Title IX violators? Regardless of intent, they did not follow protocol.

One thing I will Say about O: he is not complacent.

Also Scott’s gotta get a handle on these contracts.

There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that we don't know about. Rumors of Coaches not putting in the necessary work. Rumors of players not liking certain Coaches. Rumors of Coaches not getting along with each other. Sometimes the situation is worse than what we see on the field or as fans.

O deserves a ton of criticism for this season and some of the things he has done but the one thing he has done is recognize a problem and take the necessary actions to fix said problems quickly even if some of those problems were his own doing.

Canada firing

Realizing the kicking was terrible and goes get Cole Tracy for a one year fix until Cade York.

Not completely trusting his QB’s on the roster and going get Burrow knowing it would probably ruffle some feathers.

This Pelini and Linehan situation.

Woodward is the new Joe Brady...anything that works well is his doing and anything that doesn’t is someone else’s fault.

Just wasted a year with new coaches.
We will probably waste another year or 2 hiring
replacements. A couple more 4 to 5 loss seasons coming

Many won't like this, but this has been Orgeron's MO. He's never hesitated to recognize the problem, and then make changes. Now not all of his changes panned out. All of 2020 being an example, but the second he became interim, he started airing it out. Orgeron has always stated, he wanted to mirror the USC offence of Matt Leinert/Reggie Bush/Lindale White. He exceeded it in 2019. Then lost his coaches and made a really bad hire on defense in 2020, as well as losing majority of his players to the NFL.

Unlike Miles, Orgeron always recognized where he was lacking and never did non-speak like Miles.

ETA: And i'm not an Orgeron homer. I wish we had a head coach that was a skilled coach at Offense or Defense, not a "manager" type.

Wasted a year? The team was full of gaping *'s ready to cut bait before the season even started. THEY wasted a year.

I think we needed to make them quickly so we can get a jump start on replacements.

Or cleaning up the mess he had a big role in creating.

LSU capitalized on the greatest season in school history... creating, perhaps, the greatest demand to coach at LSU in school history....by grossly overpaying two coaches with very little market demand and their largely uninvolved HC a massive raise when a moderate bump in pay would have been more reasonable relative to O's market value.

I’m concerned that he is complacent. He was allowed to replace the entire staff on LSU’s nickel with few repercussions, and he didn’t do enough to prep the team for the 2020 season.

I think that O being given this kind of free reign is the equivalent of him officially being on the hot seat, considering the circumstances

Orgeron created this mess. He needs to help pay for cleaning it up.

Losing most of our players and the qb we groomed to replace our Heisman qb had nothing to do with it!
