The modified Bentley is badass
I agree 100%.
I will say the juxtaposition of chopped up $200k Bentley driving through the streets filled with people whose average yearly income could barely buy one of the OE tires is rather harsh.

I thought for sure that Hammond's badass tracks modification was going to kick arse...obviously, I was quite wrong.
Really surprised May's car made it all the way through.

I too have been so desperate as to watch James May's cooking show
His travel shows reveal that he can offer more to the Grand Tour Series.
While this was enjoyable, when they do travel shows - it should be a little different than just Top Gear focusing on the cars or this instance Boats and pranks.
Sort of add in more Bourdain so people get a feel for where they are and a history beyond hijinks, etc. I mean, they were in Cambodia, it's not like they were drag racing in Utah.
Also the show is full of hyperbole which is fine when they're just messing around and playing pranks and talking about cars and boats but strangely Clarkson says...the Mekong river is the most iconic river in the world. Huh?
That would be the Nile.
All in all it's fun but if they're going to spend the money to be there, they could do so much more.

I dont get it either. I've seen tracks put on a few vehicles with good results. The rocks destroyed it

15 min in and it’s fantastic
Wish they’d do many more of these before they get too old. I’d imagine Clarkson has maybe a solid 10yrs left of being able to get out like this. He doesn’t seem to be the healthiest bloke.

Pretty sure that’s the reason Clarkson was driving a new Bentley instead of the usual pieces of shite vehicles they have to work with
Hammond’s tracks’ spindles or whatever flying off cracked me up.

I'm almost positive he actually still has/drives the Bentley, or atleast I've seen him post pictures of it at his farm on Instagram recently.
Speaking of, the whole Clarkson farm thing(Diddly Squat Farm Shop incase you were wondering) is apparently part of another Amazon show they've been filming as Clarkson buys a farm and figures out how to get it going.
I'm really looking forward to this show, he has a website and all where you can buy/ship his products.

The Best Farm Shop… In the world
Established in 2020, Diddly Squat Farm Shop was the brainchild of Jeremy Clarkson after realising that potatoes did indeed grow well on his farm and he had accidentally produced 40 tonnes of them. From there, with his partner Lisa, he bought hives and began to produce and sell bee juice, along with apple juice and cow juice from a local dairy.

The unique and leathery scent of my car seat, blended with hints of oakmoss and earthy spices. A totally unique and bespoke scent, created for Jeremy. There is no other smell like this.... in the world.

There is apparently an almost identical bentley that some claim GT copied for the episode. Not sure if true or not

Yep, looks like your right, same color and all.
According to this article Clarkson does indeed have the Bentley he used in Madagascar but that it'll likely have to be crushed soon.

"I fell so deeply in love with that car that I decided I'd bring it back to the farm," Jeremy said. "It took a while but, eventually, the Bentley arrived back in Britain, and I was very happy. But then came word from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. The Bentley had started in life as a development mule and the rules say these must be destroyed to ensure they don't ever seep onto the market".

The watches in Phnom Penh were fake right? That was the joke?

The MFB was better than that one. First pic I have seen

Yeah, I thought I missed that joke but you're talking about Seamen. I might have to binge a bunch of specials soon. Where are the old Top Gear specials now? MotorTrend or something like that?
Posted on 12/18/20 at 12:18 pm to JoeHackett
Yeah, the old specials are on MotorTrend

They are cut a little short. I watched one the other day and parts were missing. I guess they had a time limit for tv

Nonsense. They kicked his arse almost all the way through the show.

Those poor natives getting their wedding held up by some rich limey in a gimmick car must have been so pissed.
