I say yes, but Dallas would have to throw in Andy Dalton for the transition period and Michael Irvin’s Hall of Fame rights so he counts as a Saint.

Guess it's time to give my annual comment.. why would he want to leave a job where he's set and has a lot of say & control in the players he can bring in to go somewhere where he will have very little say.

There is only 1 asset in the NFL that I would trade Sean for and that is Pat Mahomes.

Could you imagine trading away your possibly HOF head coach who has consistently had a top 5ish offense for over a decade and brought your franchise playoff wins more times than in their history and their only Super Bowl win for a top 5 pick and then that pick turns out to be a bust.

This would never ever happen but especially seeing how he keeps winning without a future HOF Qb running the offense. If Payton leaves it’s because he wants to.

Not only would it be awful for the Saints, it would be awful for Payton as well. Dallas with Jones as the owner at this point is a career killer. He would have limited control Jones constantly breathing down his neck. No way he wants this at this point in his life.
