Any of you OT baws ever try a tiger meat/cannibal sandwich?

FB link - Wisconsin Department of Health Services
quote:

Time for our annual reminder that there's one #holiday tradition you need to pass on: raw meat sandwiches, sometimes called Tiger Meat or Cannibal Sandwiches. Many Wisconsin families consider them to be a holiday tradition, but eating them poses a threat for Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, Campylobacter and Listeria bacteria that can make you sick. (And, no, it doesn't matter where you buy your beef!) Remember, ground beef should ALWAYS be cooked to an internal temperature of 160° F. I think my parents, both born and raised in Wisconsin, used to eat them.

They called that shite “raw-dawg” in my Iowa town. I couldn’t believe it first time I saw it as a kid, grotesque.

I once knew a guy that would eat raw bacon sandwiches. Never saw the point myself.

I don’t think eating finely chopped steak tartare is the same thing as slapping some ground meat in between two pieces of rye bread at home
