Gum Creek Holster (saw someone post it on Outdoor Board), mounts under steering wheel column.
Best solution not using a magnets. I didn’t want to drill into my column. And tape here in Louisiana heat doesn’t hold.
Have a baton, pepper gel spray, knife and XD-S 9mm along with two magazines.

I never leave my pistol in the truck.
When you are sitting in your driver seat is the least likely chance you will actually need the pistol. It’s most likely going to be and highest percentage right outside your driver door.

Once upon a time I was in heavy traffic on perkins and a car was cutting across from the projects and almost hit me.
I was young and shouted a few expletives as I drove around them. Both of our windows were down. About thirty seconds later three young black guys jump out of the vehicle. Nowhere to drove to and not wanting to take an arse whipping sitting down I jumped down and grabbed machete in right hand. Gun sitting on the seat in left in case it escalated even more.
Turns out they were pissed at the driver for almost wrecking. Shouted a few curse words at him.
One looks over at me, eyes as big as saucers and he busts out laughing, says "that white boy whilling the frick out." And him and his friends walk across the street to albertsons.
I don't let traffic bother me anymore.
