I am redoing my master bath and am debating heated floors? Worth it or not?

Not worth it in New Orleans.

Definitely not worth it if you live in Louisiana

Not worth it, and a potential source of condensation damage. Warm floor, cold air, high moisture environment......no thanks.

We have them and really like it. They are set on a schedule to run every morning and every night for a couple hours. Very nice for the cold Ohio mornings. I don't see any difference in our electric bill.

Are you on pier and beam? If so I'd say worth it. Tile gets cold af in winter. When I remodeled mine i regretted not putting them in.

Socks would be a lot cheaper

I'm in Dallas - we redid our master bath earlier this year and added heated floors and they are amazing.
Set on a timer, zero condensation, very much worth it.
I did a lot of research on them so can answer any specific questions.

I did my master bath about 6 years ago. We don't get to use them very often but when we do, they are awesome.

House on the ground or crawl space.
I feel like if it’s on the ground it’s certainly not needed and unless you’re cold-natured would probably be a waste.
If off the ground and this is a long term house, no doubt put them. My last house was off the ground and the role was ice in the wintertime.
Assuming this is in south Louisiana.

I installed the Kerdi Heat stuff when I did the masterbath. No issues here.
