Warning - the article makes fun of the kicker so I'm sure some people will be mad.

Considering that it’s dailywire, I wouldn’t be surprised.

so according to their rivals guy, the players hated the publicity stunt and the supposed halftime speech she gave basically made them all go "frick this"

now, multiple players are apparently going to be opting out because of it

I am as big a supporter of women's sports as you will see on this site, and yet if this report is true, it makes me happy and tingly inside in anticipation of the utter clusterfrick this will become, on many levels. Good for the football guys sticking up for what is right and sniffing out a bullshite ploy when they saw it.

The women should play on women's teams; the men should play on men's teams...as God designed it and intended for it to be.

I just knew where it was posted so I used that link. If you have another article summing up the halftime speech, I'll change it out

With Vanderbilt trailing 21-0 at halftime, Fuller decided she wanted to address the team. “If I’m going to be honest, I was a little pissed off at how quiet everybody was on the sideline,” she said. “We made a first down, and I was the only one cheering and I was like — what the heck? What’s going on? And I tried to get them pumped up.” She said she compared it to Vanderbilt soccer’s SEC tournament-winning run, when the team was “cheering the entire time.” “I just went in there and I said exactly what I was thinking. I was like, ‘We need to be cheering each other on. This is how you win games. This is how you get better is by calling each other out for stuff, and I’m going to call you guys out. We need to be supporting one another. We need to be lifting each other up. That’s what a team’s about,'” Fuller said. “I think this team has struggled, and that’s been part of it. “We really just need to build that team camaraderie where they can all lean on one another. It was an adjustment going from that team mentality where — hey, we’re all here supporting one another — and I just wanted to bring that to this team.”

I cringe harder every time I read this. Her lack of self awareness is impressive.

Considering how much they’ve sucked this year, it would be quite funny for them to decide how they should approach the rest of a game over a speech.

They've been competitive over the past three weeks. Seven point loss to Mississippi State where they had doubled the yardage of the Bulldogs, three point loss to Kentucky, and was within a touchdown of Florida in the third quarter before the Gators pulled away late. They were certainly a lot better than the team that got destroyed by Missouri on Saturday.

fwiw, thats what i read on some A&M boards since i obviously dont have a vandy rivals sub. but it seems like that is nothing more than an annoyance and that the reason some players are opting out is because they are planning on continuing to ride with fuller as the kicker going into next week

if a vandy poster has more info on this please relay

Please tell me she really did give a halftime speech...WOW please be true.

I read about it somewhere yesterday...I forget where, but it was a reputable place and not some satire site.

Apparently she asked the coaches if she could address the team, and since they were 0-7 and down 27 at halftime, they said "why the frick not" and let her have the floor.

Basically, she called the team out for not cheering for each other and not getting excited when a teammate made a good play. She said she hated being the only one cheering when the team made a first down.

I would never walk away from a team that is fighting to compete, no matter how bad they are

Now an administration and coaching staff that throws that away for publicity, yeh, anyone with dignity and pride has the right to walk away from that

The AD forced this girl kicker on Mason and then fired Mason the day after the game.

oh please. that girl was ready to bomb it thru the end zone and mason called the pooch. that kind of conservative play calling cost him his job.

This is true of anyone downplaying the severity of how critical theory has infected the masses and where it's leading us, but through your frustration you have to be open to allowing people to be won over to the realization of how absurd this path we are walking us

resist the urge to say "I told you so" and join arms and figure out how we are going to work our way out of this mess of a social structure we've watched be created in our nation

She not only demanded to address the team but then make her speech about teaching them how to win!

There's a universe out there where I kind of admire the balls on her for pulling that stunt.

If they would just make it inside the opponents 40, let her kick, so this story can die. I know it’s a lot to ask of them though.

Calm down snowflake. If she can kick the ball well, why the frick do you care? If Jameka can take the top off of a defense, or Becky can plug the B gap put their asses out there.
