This is truly messed up. Not some random act of violence (which is also messed up), but someone actually wanted this 12 year old dead. Called him by name.

A 12-year-old boy was fatally shot while answering the door at his Philadelphia home on Sunday, according to police and reports.
The pre-teen, identified by CBS Philly as Sadeek Clark-Harrison, was killed shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday when a bullet shot through the crescent moon glass of the front door of his Frankford home, Philadelphia police said.
“What we know at this time is that there was a knock at the door. No descriptions of any persons at the door, one shot was fired,” said Deputy Commissioner Melvin Singleton following the shooting, according to the report. “We do have on the porch of the location one 9mm shell casing and that’s all we know at this particular point in time.”
Clark-Harrison was struck in the face, according to CBS. He died at the scene.
His mother, Lisa Clark, said she was home at the time and heard an adult male voice calling the boy’s name from outside the door, the outlet reported.
“‘Sadeek! Sadeek!’ she reportedly recalled hearing. “So, he was coming outside to answer the door because they were calling his name and he didn’t even open the door. He looked at the top of the door and they shot him through his eye.”
No arrests have been reported so far. Philadelphia police did not immediately respond to Fox News's request for information.

Keep an eye on your kids, folks.

Jesus that's terrible but why was a 12 year old answering the door at 3:00am and not his mother? I don't give a shite who is asking for my children through the door, if it's at 3:00am my kid is far from that door and I'm locked and loaded behind it.

That could be. And obviously we are just speculating at this point, but it could also be as stupid as fighting over a girl. Some other teen who thinks the appropriate retaliation for "talking to his girl" is this. Man times have changed since I was 12.

Definitely something more to this story. Why was a man at this kid's house at 3 am?
Makes me wonder if he was a drug runner for an opposing gang. Some start very early, as early as 8 that I've heard, because if they get caught, essentially nothing happens. Or maybe they thought he was telling on their activities. Not saying that's what this is, just trying to make some sense out of this crazy story.
I feel horrible for his mother, very bad situation for her and now she probably has to worry about her own protection too.

I am not trying to be funny because this is tragic but is that why they shot him through the eye. To send a message?

I only said that since she reported a "man's voice".

Could have been another teen. But they left a shell casing on the porch. Which means police should have fingerprints and DNA.

And not a single protest will be had. Don’t know the kids past, but no kid deserves to die at 12 by a gunshot to the head.

Or maybe he was a TPOS and got killed by another TPOS.

quote:Horrible story. This part is strange to me. The mom is at home and heard someone calling her 12 year old’s name from the door at 3 am and she just lets him go to answer it?

Maybe I’m just misunderstanding it. Is that strange to anyone else?

That's pretty terrible.
What was he doing awake at this time of night?
Curious about the position of the window and the height of the boy.
