News is complaining about hospitals being under staffed

The new thing on the news is not talking about running out of icu rooms but not having enough staff. I know my wife’s hospital is on a hire freeze because they lost so much money when everything got shut down. They did away with all regular appointments and elective surgeries causing them to lose a ridiculous amount of money and now they can’t hire anyone. Seems like this is a self inflicted wound that could have been avoided.

History is going to look back and laugh at the stupidity of the masses in 2020. This year will be used in social studies classes and psychology courses to teach about the stupidity of mass groups of people and the willingness to follow a trend.

Lots of large hospitals with money to burn are short on nurses too. A lot of ICU/COVID qualified nurses are travelling to make the big bucks in the hardest-hit areas.

Well considering she works for a very large hospital I don’t think large hospitals have money to burn.

Under-reported for the most part but a real issue. There are some bad things happening from unsupervised folks "working from home" and out of work.

A lot of nurses have become stay at home moms because we keep shutting the fricking schools down. You can’t leave kids at home alone to zoom all day.
Do you blame them for staying home with their kids and collecting unemployment?
After they pay someone to watch their kids they are probably taking home less than unemployment and they are struggling to breath in an N95 mask all day.

This whole thing is designed to crash our systems. They want massive chaos in hospitals, they want it to be a financial massacre. This is how they'll get their single-payer system in there.
