I just sold the 05 Silverado Z71 I bought used in high school. Had 298k on it when I sold it with the original motor and tranny.
Bought an 08 Silverado Z71 with 125k miles on it from an older guy, thing is like brand new except for a crack in the dash and some smudging on the AC button.
Hopefully I can get 300k out of it

Bought it tonight Ross Downing in Hammond. La. 2021 Denali fully loaded, 5.3L. Sticker was 61,500. Purchased for 56k.
Congrats. Thats a great truck. I didn’t even know you could get a 5.3L motor with the Denali package.
The last GM full size truck I had lasted about 14 years. Hopefully you’ll keep this one that long.

Judging from my 2007 model, you should be able to break 250,000 miles without much trouble.
I regret selling that truck.

Get an SLT with the Premium Plus Package. That package has the dual exhaust, lane assist, adaptive cruise, air conditioned seats, front and back heated seats. Bought my 2020 the day after Christmas last year for 45K.

That's a fantasy.
Also, the domestic truck makers are more advanced under the hood than Toyota.

Good truck for a good price. If you maintain it well, it will serve you well for a long time. The 5.3L V8 isn't the most powerful V8 on the market, but it's a good reliable unit with a relatively flat torque curve and good power delivery.
I've had excellent luck with full sized GM trucks. I'm actually looking at getting another one in a year or two.
Not sure how long it's been since you bought a new truck. They almost all have auto start/stop now along with cylinder deactivation. If the fuel economy crap on the modern trucks annoy you, try Range Technologies (Amazon) for bypass features that can be removed instantly if needed. It's a great product and works well. They have stuff for both GM and Ford trucks. Not sure about Ram.

If the VIN starts with a "3", run away as fast as you can.
3 = made in Mexico.
3 = made in Mexico.

There's deactivate option in my truck, but has to be done each time on a start. Not permanent. The start/stop is surprisingly unnoticeable on this 2021 model.

It does. Thanks for the info! My wife's family is from Mexico and she'll love to hear this! Thanks. I'll tell em "Hi" for you when I visit them in Jan.
ETA: Assembly plant in Silao, Guanajuato! That's the State where they're from. Nice.

I'm sorry you're poor. This is the OT. Get that minimum wage mentality outta here.

As somebody who's put 390k miles on three 5.3's, I respectfully disagree.

Ford, Nissan, General Motors, Chrysler, Audi, and Toyota all make vehicles in Mexico.
In fact, most US market Toyota Tacomas (which some on the OT believe to be the most reliable truck ever) is made in Tijuana.

That's impressive.
The Silverados, Tahoes, and Suburbans from that generation were mechanically rock solid. Most of the folks I know with Suburbans in particular keep them for 200,000-300,000 miles.
