Wandering around Barnes & Noble this weekend and thought, do any of you have a favorite bookstore?

Parnassus is Nashville's well know store, and I do like it, I just wish it was a little cozier.

For what it is, Barnes & Noble isn't too bad.

The Bookceller in Walker. Kids love it too. Lady running it is sweet as can be.

I used to love Waldenbooks when I was a kid. It was incredible walking through all those books.

I like Barnes and Noble when I am looking for a particular book.

There is a huge store of used books in town that I really like to peruse. Every book under $5. I'll go in with a few books I am looking for and then stumble upon some randoms that sounds interesting, usually in the history or economics sections.

B&N usually works for me. For locally owned stores I like Cottonwood Books in Baton Rouge and Sundog Books in Santa Rosa Beach. This place Ollie's Bargain in BR has books on the super cheap, I got a $30 book for $2.

Barnes and Noble on Vets although the amount of square footage actually devoted to books shrinks every time I go in there.

When I travel for work I always try and hit up the local book stores.

Houston is great. Becker’s and Good Books in the Woods are awesome.

The Shop Around the Corner. It was great, until the big box bookstore moved in around the corner and drove it out of business.

Daunt in London- literature arranged by country, some of it not for sale in the US market, is a dream come true for this nerd

Librairie Galignani rue du rivoli, Paris.

(That sounds too pretentious, but subjectively, it’s true. I would add though that: Tattered Covers in LoDo, Denver; Trident on Newbury Street in Boston; Sundog in Seaside; Browser on Filmore in San Francisco; and Elliot’s (RIP) in Baton Rouge are and were favorites.)
