Woodward says systemic racism and you get bothered by it (and yes I usually get pissed hearing it) but he had to say it and if we started losing recruits or athletes turn back towards LSU sports then where do you go then? Truthfully I think it’s a smart play by him.

So, more catering to black people? Got it.

If you're interested in understanding the term "systemic racism" Google can help. If you're white and blind to the issues minorities face in America then you would say the term is nonexistent.

One can simultaneously acknowledge the issues minorities face and understand the insidious usage of the term "systemic racism".

Do you even notice the players you cheer for or you just see LSU and not the black athlete

As shown in this thread, we know who sees the black athlete. Hence the pandering.

Everything about Scott Woodward‘s letter yesterday was great other than the very last sentence. He lost credibility with a very large amount of people with his remarks on “systemic racism”

And the use of the word "black". He turned it into a race issue when the issue is really about presumed bad behavior by cops against another human being. Whatever happened to color-blindness??

People complain that Orgeron lost the team with his comments this summer and people complain about Woodward's remarks. If we want to continue winning, we need to show support to the players. If you disagree then we will lose the players and team forever. Either change your attitude around these type of remarks, or stop following football because times are changing.

Think about what you're saying. Really think about it.

If you are not a racist then it shouldn't bother you. It's like all Muslims are not terrorist, yet we had a Muslim ban, all Black people are not "thugs". So if you don't fit the narrative, why does it bother you?

Then the last sentence may have been the best one.

Ok but that’s not what it means.

Maybe if many of you would stop marching in sheets and carrying tiki torches you wouldn’t be called racist.

Almost everyone in leadership positions has already caved to it. Social media heads, CEO's of companies, university presidents, etc. The PC coddling isn't going anywhere. Sorry to burst your bubble. There is no band-aid to rip off. Have you been to a game this year? LSU plays what many on this board would consider a BLM pandering video before every game.

Woodward's statement was exactly what it needed to be given the circumstances.

It's funny because you posted a picture of white people! Look at the white people everyone! They can't have opinions, unless it's to kowtow to S's pet black people.

Like wanting religious holiday presentations on government property. Or crying when Starbucks' holiday cups aren't religious... or business owners refusing to serve certain people that don't align with their religious beliefs. Shall I continue?
