Sentencing data alone proves it does.

Show me where in the statutes or laws where it states that there are different sentencing guidelines or requirements based on race. I will wait for that link and make sure it is current.

The systems aren't racist. They may have been implemented or applied by racist individuals in a racist way. That would mean that the individual implementing/applying the system is racist and not the actual system itself. There could be other factors that make the trends look racist without it actually being race as the determining factor.

"systemic racism" is just an unprovable boogeyman.

The demand for racism was greater than the supply, so they invented a never-ending source -- everything.

People freaking out about that sentence need to really think about why it bothers them so much. And then also think about the reasons he said it.

Systemic racism does not exist under the current law/on paper. The lasting effects of it pre-Civil Rights Act, however, likely still exist on some level.

What do these people want done about racists? I mean seriously? What the frick can anyone do about someone's personal beliefs? You can't just label an entire group of people bc you believe a few of them are racists. That's just stupid and that's why this argument and their stance against systematic racism is stupid and theres nothing that can be done. Grow up. Not everybody is going to like you, so you might as well get used to it now.

If you are not a racist then it shouldn't bother you. It's like all Muslims are not terrorist, yet we had a Muslim ban, all Black people are not "thugs". So if you don't fit the narrative, why does it bother you?

Absofrickinglutely!!! No one has said all white people are racists, like no one has said all cops are bad. It's not an either or proposition.

White people have stood alongside black people against white racism from the very beginning starting with John Brown. Many whites have been brutalized and murdered along with blacks in that fight.

A certain segment of the white community were angered by those whites who fought against white racism. They were called all sorts of names including race traitors and ni$#&r lovers. Their lives were in danger the same as blacks for the audacity of seeking equality for black people.

Times change but the players remain the same. Blacks seeking equality and justice in America. A segment of white society who recognizes the racism and supports them in their struggle. And another segment of white society angered by that struggle and in denial that racism exists. And the best goes on.

Hate to tell you but the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Truth-In-Lending (TILA), Community Re-investment Act, RESPA, Fair Lending Act have absolutely neutered loan officer discretion. Fair Lending examinations are conducted routinely on financial institutions (banks) TRUST me the last thing a bank will do is approve based on race.

Please name one law that discriminates against minorities. You see the law is black and white, how it is subjectively applied is the problem.

Lester Earl: Systemic Racism in short is a theory that has been re-purposed by BLM stating the foundations of America were put in place by one race and continue to this day to strategically keep another race from being successful.
It’s just not true. The proof is in the relationships you and I both have in our lives of people who are another color. They cheer us on and support us as they genuinely want us to succeed. Not all people of other races want to see those of another race fail.
Yes, racism DOES exist in America no doubt, but there are also people of all colors who genuinely care for and support each other.
The problem with the systemic racism theory is that it is too big of a broad brush stroke and the personal relationships we have in our own lives are proof that good genuine people of all colors exist that love us.
