It doesn’t matter what happens in Charlotte.

Such a huge win for the Irish, congrats!

I will be really interested if UF beats bama in the sec title game and Clemson beats ND.

Who would it be between bama/nd?

Aside from Book, I didn’t know a single Notre Dame player’s name before tonight and watch college football every Saturday from start to finish.

If Clemson wins the SEC, ND would have the best win of the season.

But knowing the media, we know it's going to be Bama.

ND is Oklahoma-lite in regards to going undefeated then getting destroyed in the playoff.

I think they may actually be somewhat legit this year though.

BYU and Cincy both are arguably better than Notre Dame

That's cute.

I don't think they're as good as bama or Ohio State but Cincy and byu don't have guys that will play on Sunday.

They will have 3-4 defensive starters in the NFL, at least 2-3 starting OLineman in the NFL, 2 TE’s in the NFL (Mayers might be the top one drafted in 2 years), and Kyren Williams is a stud in the making. Book may be the longshot to be an NFL talent.

This team has talent all over the field.

I followed the LT Eichenberg and RG Kraemer when Ohio State was recruiting them. Those two plus maybe some others on the Offensive Line will be drafted. Notre Dame always seems to have professional talent at TE, as well.

The tackling on defense was noticeable as well. Maybe not a great team, but not an easy win for Bama or the Buckeyes this year.

Eh let’s wait and see, it’s ND and they always mess things up. Plus that was without Trevor Lawrence not exactly Clemson at their best.

I like you, McCaig, but the dude isn't wrong. Pretty much that entire offensive line is going to sign NFL contracts, and some of them will sign eight figure or nine figure contracts. Kyren Williams will definitely see some time in the League, as will Tyree (who actually didn't touch the ball much tonight). Mayer is almost certainly the best freshman tight end in the country (and was the #1 or #2 TE coming out of high school last year) and both he and Tremble are elite tight ends and will play in the NFL.

On defense, there are two first round picks for sure (Hamilton and Owusu-Koramoah) + another four or five guys that are going to be drafted in the first 3 - 5 rounds. I don't think I'm stretching myself by saying that Hamilton is the best safety in the country this year.

This wasn't Syracuse flacking and flaking things down the field all day. We were flat out better along both lines pretty much all night - Clemson has some phenomenal players on the perimeter, and that's where they kept trying to strike at us.

yup. we need whoever wins tonight (ND, obviously now) to win the rematch as well to create anything of interest and open up a spot.
