Still love the AK more than any other gun

This is not an AR bashing topic. Love that system. I love that gun. BUt when I go back to an AK, it just feels so much more natural and I have more fun than anything else.
It is a quality, Russian made AK that's 2 decades old and the thing still shoots like a champ. (Never be able to get one of those again)
Love the cartridge more than AR. Love the bolt and action more than AR, and love how the mag loads better than an AR.
Also only laid $175 for it in the early 00's. Umbelievable how the market has changed.

I love that cheap steel tula 124gr sp ammo. It seems to put pigs down well and not break the bank.

I love my Ak but my Ar is the weapon I would choose first. Less recoil making it easier to get back on target.

I'd say I love my AK-102 best out my AKs but I don't know about better than my AR15s. Really depends on where I'm shooting to have a preference over one. Hopefully KUSA amd PSA make some 102s, 104s and 105s. I just wish they would make copies of the 5.45 and 5.56 magazines.

Bought my first AK 2 months ago. It's a Yugo. Put a Magpul stock on it with a Mlok hand guard. I love it.

The ak platform is so rugged and simple. Definitely my go to when tromping through creek bottoms hoping to stumble on a pig. Mine have gone bang with every kind of ammo I have fed them so far

That’s a pretty shitty reason to hate an entire gun design. Also there’s no way the AK has killed the most American soldiers. Have you seen casualty figures from World War 2? The Mauser k98 has probably caused many more deaths of US soldiers than the AK ever has.

I love AK’s, have a bunch of them. My favorite is my amd-65. Amazing weapon and the first I will grab if shite hits the fan.

SKS is even simpler and more rugged.
also more comfortable to carry/sling/shoulder

Not by a long shot (no pun intended).
There were 300K combat deaths in WW2. The AK was invented in 1949. In the armed conflicts since that date, we've lost approx. 87K American lives in combat.
You should really hate the German Mauser, or Arisaka Type 99 which was based of the same design as the Mauser.

Anyone wanting to improve the muzzle climb on the AK look at installing an adjustable gas piston. Made a huge difference on my pistol especially.
