Now that I've hit the big 40, is it time for TRT?

I workout 5-6 times a week. I haven't seen much change in my body the past 10 years. I do think it is a little harder for me to see gains lately though.

Just get your levels checked and go from there.

If you feel tired and lazy all of the time then look into it. If not then I wouldn't worry about it.

I’m stronger now in my 40s and I have never checked my levels.

I will have them checked in my next physical just to do it,

I'm 40 as well.

Being tired is a by product of your age.

You don't need testosterone. I'm tired all the time, but I push through it.

Get it checked. There are side effects for low T. Google it. Ask your PCP

I went to The Aesthetic Medicine & Anti-Aging Clinic on Bluebonnet.

Thanks! Google shows a number of places around town that do this sort of thing. Any that people suggest I NOT use?

If you want to skip a doctors appointment you can pay for it through PrivateMD labs. They will send a lab request to quest or labcorp. Costs around $100 depending on what test you do.

I usually get my blood tested every 6 months and bring results with me for yearly check up. Of course if your doctor orders it, ins will pay for it. I just don’t like the hassle when I can just order them myself and pay $100

Go to a regular DR. If you go to a low-T center then I guarantee they will discover your level is a little low and need treatments.

My PCP is Dr Erica Flood at Flood Family Medical in Prairieville. She will get your blood levels straight including testosterone.

Get some blood work done to see where your levels are at. You may just need to tweak your diet or workout plan to see gains again. But the longer you lift, the longer it takes to see gains. Naturally, at least.

I’d be careful with this view though. A lot of “regular” doctors are just as quick to dismiss concerns about testosterone.

This too.

If you take it and don't really need it, you will then NEED it.

It will stop your body from producing its own.

What’s that other one in Baton Rouge? Jordy and TBob pimp that one instead of Matt, I think. I did TRT through my GP a while back. Nothing crazy, but I did feel better. A left her and called one of the 2 places pimped by Off the Bench or AFR. They pimped TRT and either Sarms or Peptides to go with it. Can’t remember which place and if they promoted SARMS or Peptides. And does any place add HGH in their cocktails?
