Let's say that a person early voted for a Biden/Harris ticket, and then Biden was forced to withdraw to avoid more stink, Harris becomes the primary on the ticket and choses a running mate, would the early votes for Biden/Harris, still count as Harris/?? votes?

The I do not believe there is dumb questions was a way to make people who are dumb feel okay about themselves. Oh and yes I ask a lot of dumb questions so it's not a dig at you.

Yes. They would count for whoever ends up at the top of the dem ticket.

You are not voting for president, you are voting for your state's group of electors.

Technically, no one votes for Biden/Harris.

Voters vote for electors (hence electoral votes) who are committed to those candidates for Pres and VP.

So are Biden's electors free to vote for Harris/??? if Biden withdraws?

Votes are for electors not candidates. So whoever the electors vote for.

I have heard two answers.

They would have to redo with Kamala & she picks a VP

Or the dems vote for the electors to move Biden's votes to Kamala.

There are no dumb questions, just lots of dumb people asking questions though.

this is the answer, but I don't believe it has to be Kamala, they could potentially replace the nominee as well.

Not that I think it will happen or even matter but if this did happen, PA could come into play with faithless electors. Especially with rampant fraud being rumored there.

I would think that they'd have to have another election.

This is why I don’t early vote and don’t like early voting. Maybe so 4-5 days early voting right before the election. 2-3 weeks is ridiculous.

What if the person I voted early for has a massive scandal emerge after I voted that would have caused me to reconsider?
