People like you are simply the worst. You know damn well the out of towners spend more than that just on parking. When queeeeen is done with the restrictions, NOLA is going to need any and everyone coming back and spending money. This city cannot survive without the out of town dollars, and "mouth breathers" coming in for a weekend make a up a very large percenatge of that.

I know this is hard for you to understand, especially considering your a life long NOLA resident and know the city better than most, but there is a portion of the local population that doesn't give a frick if white people are mugged and beaten

New Orleans’ kickass white collar economy will insulate it from any tourism down swings. I think all five publicly traded companies should carry the weight.

That corner's been sketchy even during the day for a while now. A couple years back a large group of us were returning from a lunch in the Quarter, with a black female coworker who now happens to be in the Edwards administration. "Customers" with drinks in bags started making lewd comments at her and us, but fortunately we outnumbered them and we surrounded our coworker and kept walking without incident.
I agree about the chicken.
