I don't mind, as long as I'm not expected to contribute.

I always go into my haircuts with a resting a-hole face hoping they won't talk to me.

I close my eyes during large portions. I’m sure they think I’m a total weirdo.

Depends on the type of barbershop you go to I suppose. Conversation always going on at the barbershop.

You know whats worse? Having to shave your head in the mirror every two days alone in the quiet. What I wouldnt give for that small talk again.
Damn I go Once or twice a week and just let it grow out a bit in between.

I don’t mind the small talk during a haircut. My barber has a good knowledge of what his regular customers are interested in and he can take the hint when you would rather sit back and enjoy some quiet time. And, he rarely speaks when shaving. He knows that is your quiet time and then he can focus on his craft.
Old school barbers are some of the best.

I’ve always hated this. Neither of us are interested in the other. Can we stop the charade?

I hate small talk on an elevator with people who I know just enough to say hello to but not enough to actually engage.

I call the elevator the introvert detector. Its hilarious watching how uncomfortable people are around strangers.

Absolutely not.

My barber knows more about what goes on in this town than anyone else. I usually learn some inside info when I get a haircut.

Not at all. But for crying out loud, why does a dentist or dental hygienist have to carry on a conversation when you have their hands and tools in your mouth.
Never understood that.

I fricking hate it. I hate small talk always... I'm not real big on people.

“How bout the weather?” - I’d eat that up cause I work in weather. I have been seeing my lady stylist the past four years. I’d like to bang her but she is married. She knows how I feel about her and we have no problem talking while she cuts and washes my hair. Thing is...this woman is overweight but has the cutest face and personality. I would do her anywhere if she wasn’t attached.

I went into my local barber shop today to get my new Iberia haircut touched up, and while I was sitting there I began to realize how much I genuinely dislike small talk as a captive audience.
You seem like an introvert. Sorry for your social life.
