I can not for the life of me consistently catch fish out of the rigolets. I have good to great luck in hopedale, Leeville, grand isle, and espescially pointe aux chenes.

Where do I need to go, what do I need to do?

Hire a guide!
Seriously, I’m not joking.
That side of the lake is tough to fish, especially since they closed the MRGO.
It’s an area that requires local knowledge and experience.

The people catching fish over there are on the water a LOT.

It's not gonna be consistent year round. Just depends on salinity/water quality.

We fish there a good bit. It can be a tough place. We slay them one time then hardly catch any the next

Listen to the right radio channel at the right time and hope the guides use a radio and not a cell phone...

Fish the western shoreline of Lake Borgne in the fall when the tide is falling. In the summer fish the Tulane Rig which is in the middle of Lake Borgne. Fish the western side of Lake Catherine in the fall. Personally, I do not fish the Rigolets at all.

agree w/ other posters, it can be a tough place to catch. can you make the run to biloxi marsh across lake borgne? the fishing is a little better.

I've fished w/ captain Kris Robert out of there a few times. Most trips were great, slayed them a few times. however, had one really tough trip as well, but hey, it's fishing. I'd recommend him, October/November is a good time to fish the area. It's a much better area in the fall based on my experience.
