The issue is that every cop incident has become an extreme racist/social justice movement. Most of the cases, when the facts come out, show a different picture than what the media originally portrayed. Then you have ignorant athletes speaking with false confidence to impressionable fans.
I think bad cops should be held accountable. But the real bad cases are getting drowned out with the over zealous left/BLM movement. Real bad cop cases are few and far between. The perception of way to many thinks it happens daily.

Making a police officer as accountable for his actions as the average person isn't a bad idea.
I don’t disagree with a lot of the rest of your post, as I agree that police unions are a big problem, but I do disagree strongly with the above post.
We can not hold police accountable to the same standards as citizens in the same manor that we can’t hold the military accountable to the same standards. We have to understand that the police are usually dealing with people after a situation has been escalated out of control of a normal citizen. We also must realize that the police in the vast majority of these incidents aren’t just showing up randomly, but are requested to be there by a third party and have a duty to act. Simply put, they can’t just walk away like a normal citizen. I am 100% on board with higher standards for hiring and retention and more training in deescalation for police, but to say that they should be held to the standards of normal citizens is shortsighted

You're right they should be held to higher standards, just as the military is. They used to be and should be liable for every bullet they shoot. Are they called for a reason? Yes. They use lethal force far more often than needed though

You are crazy if you think someone in the military using deadly force is held to a higher standard than a normal civilian in Baltimore. The military is given leeway because people understand that they are put in an extremely stressful position and have to make split second decisions. Obviously you don’t know much about the military

We have two Pride months now?
To be fair blacks appropriated their Pride month this year.
I don’t care for identity politics in general, but October? Does November not have enough time before elections for them? I liked the breast cancer awareness and really cancer awareness in general. Why minimize something that sadly effects every family eventually.

This is becoming straight pandering, which is the issue. I have no issue with homosexuals. That said, this is not limited to just that and trying to normalize mental illness is not something should be pushed in regards to other parts of the alphabet crew.
