Rogue deep dish plates

Dunno how many of yall have been paying attention, but rogue decided they wanted to try and bring their plate and kettlebell manufacturing to the USA. Slot of this had to do with the Corona virus and some of the BS dealing with China previously.
Well they teamed with a foundry in Cadillac Michigan. They are cast in ductile and machined on the hub, edge and entire back.
For those that don't know, the old York plates that were deep dish and machined in the same way are some of the best and most collected plates of all time. Same with Ivanko.
Anyways they just completed their first order and pre-order. Prolly have more next month. Price is very similar to foreign mad eplates, only slightly more. If you are looking for plates, I highly suggest you give them a look.

I saw them. They look sweet! I like the deep dish look and the accuracy.

Yea, very much old school look. I will be replacing all my non bumper plates with them over time.
Love the dungeon old school black iron gym look.

I'm thinking I'll get a couple pairs of 45s. I have Ivanko machined plates currently which I like. I'm interested to see in the plate diameters line up well for deadlifts.
How does the E-coat compare to other coatings?

I mainly have the Ivanka OM's and be switching. The rogues will be the exact same diameter and hub. Prolly width too.

Supposed to be better than old school powder coat, but I haven't messed with it unless thats whats on my KBs.
Can't be any worse lol.

I currently have urethane covered plates. (Think commercial gym) Otherwise, I’d be all over these. They look awesome.
Do you guys have steel weights and bumpers? Trying to decide if I want to add bumpers as well. May be overkill.
ETA: These are the exact ones I currently have as I got them from Athletic Republic.

I have steel and then bumpers for deads and Olympic lifts. I have the ivanko OMs and some old unbranded machined plates for my steel. For bumpers, I have the colored rogue echo.
I like to have the bumpers cause I don't like my platforms getting messed up but I much prefer steel for everything else.

I have one set of Cap 45s from Academy.
They are great because they are slightly smaller in diameter than my Wright/OMA bumper plates so that are just elevated off the floor when loaded with the bumpers.
TNG deadlifts don't make a noise.
Total I can load onto a barbell at the house? 425 or so.

I saw that they released them and they are just plain seeeeexy. I got bumpers for my first set of plates with the mind that once I need more weight, I’ll just grab iron and these will definitely be the ones.

They are about 50% more expensive than Rogue’s standard plates, not sure they’re worth it. When you factor in shipping that makes for an expensive set of weights. I’m very happy with my olympics, weight tolerances are within a pound

It’s to appeal to American made products. One of the few iron products you’ll find made in America. Doesn’t, matter to most, but definitely a niche market that Rogue loves to work

I went back and looked, that is not true. Prices for 45 lbs pair
Rogue machined plates-$160
Rogue 6 shooter-$156
York legacy milled plates- $132
New deep dish-$155
So cheaper than the comparable plates and much better quality than the York. What you are considering the rogue standard plate is just plain Jane sporting goods store plates. Those plates are not milled and are not to tolerance.
The new rogue deep dish plates are comparable to the ivanko plates and iron company's made in USA plates.
The iron company plates are almost $4/lbs and ivankos are unavailable and when they were it was $235 a pair for the OMs from Iron company.
The deep dish plate is right in the sweet spot for higher end plates and one of the better deals for sure.

Whenever you decide to sell. I would be interested in purchasing those to expand my weight set and have everything match.
It's getting a little scarce with weight when I have more than two people working out in my garage.

I don't even have a home gym but I want them because they look so good

When I go to sell some of my stuff I will let some here know and have first shot.
Posted on 10/29/20 at 7:39 am to lsu777
Please do. I don’t “need” anything anymore, but I’m always checking FB marketplace and stuff just to see if I can scoop something for cheap

I'm in need of another barbell...
Posted on 10/29/20 at 10:10 am to burgeman
Won't be selling any barbells.
Next year some time I will be upgrading my rack frome the elitefts r3 to rep pr5000, my bench to the rep no gap and weights to the rogue deep dish. Not gonna be selling anything else.
