Driving here is fun, especially on the smaller roads in Bavaria - nice curves, beautiful scenery, well-maintained surfaces. A paradise for motorcycles (except in winter).

Had a 70 SS 454, 450 HP. At 80mph it still had a punch. I got it to 112 but wimped out.

911GT3 - Just over 150.

Recent vacation - cruise control at 100 for 1.5 hours in WY. Absolutely alone on the road.

Escort Max360 is a “must have” for these trips.

I was an old 911 jockey in my youth, so very comfortable at the high speeds. Used to race MGB, Spitfire & TR6 in SCCA events in those days. I stay on the back roads as much as possible. The interstates are just boring.

Drove at 120mph for close to 100 miles in a 280Z back in the late 1970's. That little car ran like a bat out of hell and handle like a dream.

My truck I have now, I drove from BR to New Orleans in 35 mins a few years ago before all the construction on I10.

Now, I don't drive anymore.

Not sure how fast I made it, but the speedometer maxed at 130. At that point the tach was around 5800 and I stayed in it until I hit 7k. Car had more, but I didn't.

About 110 in my Ford Fusion Hybrid on I65 between Montgomery and Mobile.

Everybody was hauling arse on that interstate. Never been in faster traffic. Had a nice long straight stretch and plenty of space. Never saw a cop.

I've been close to 85mph in a buddy's speed boat on the Tombigbee River back in high school. That was legit scary as hell.

Our bass boat we had would do about 70 and that was too way too fast.
