My dad requested My Way by Frank Sinatra sung at his funeral. Guy did an amazing job with just a piano.
I would request Are the Good Times Really Over for Good by Merle Haggard.

I've told my family that they have to have the following phrase somewhere in my eulogy:

"Death greets me warm. Now I will just say goodbye!"

Do people play music at a funeral? When would you actually play the song? Seems it would be awkward. And pretentious

I've been to a couple where they have it on as people walk in and before the service starts and I've been to one where the wife stated, he wanted his favorite song played. It was "wish you were here."

I think I'm going to have comic at mine. Somebody like Mark Normand where he makes people very uncomfortable and awkward and just make up shite about me.
