Just watched a deer go up the levee from the woods behind me. Couldn’t tell what it was. Still too dark.

Headed to a shooting house on a powerline in Jasper Co, MS this afternoon. Taking my 4 and 6 year old boys on their first hunt. Can’t wait.

In my saddle. Not gonna see anything because about 500 of my best friends are shooting up the squirrels all around me this morning.
Only reason I came is because my actual best friend took up bow hunting this year and he’s only off on weekends and he was extremely pumped up to go hunting. He took me to his lease a bunch last year but lost it this year. So I’m letting him hunt public with me.

I used to see a ton of deer while squirrel hunting, I don't think it bothers them as much as you think the first weekend.
