Two most important jobs of HC.
Most of the complaints about game one deal with one or both.
Ed O now makes 7 million a year.
How is he doing on these compared to those who make the same?
Recruiting is only half the job of roster management.
Maybe Ed needs to step up his game to earn his new found salary level...

I mean at least he isn't getting paid 75 million

Biggest criticism that O has brought upon himself is the Steve Ensminger hire, IMO. He was able to hide it with the Joe Brady hire last year, but as we see now, it's back and arguably a major reason as to why we lost. Defense obviously doesn't get a pass, but this is Pelini's first season and he's trying to do alot with entry level talent.
SE has been here a while now and the fact that our offensive game regressed is disheartening at best.
CEO has yet to prove himself as a "franchise" Coach for this reason alone, IMO. One hit wonder that needs elite talent to get him there. I hope he proves me wrong in the coming seasons, because I like the guy and his energy.

There were WRs running wide open the whole game. Were there playcall that were frustrating? Sure but the offense was fine, Brennan just didn't execute.

One. Game.
Get ahold of yourself

His roster management is outstanding compared to his peers. Brought in immediate impact players every year off the transfer market. Outside of chaining guys to their locker, I’m not sure what else you’d like from him

It's "get hold of yourself".

Maybe you step up your game and quit being such a shitty poster.
I do see improvement though. You are getting better at forming complete sentences now, which does make me a little suspicious.

Nobody can hang on to assistants, OC's, DC's when other jobs come knocking. Do you honestly expect Aranda to stay a DC when a HC job opens up in a Power 5 conf? Joe Brady when an NFL team comes knocking?
Their stock couldn't be any higher than after winning a NC. You can't throw enough money at them to keep them if their aspirations are to be a HC or trying to climb the ladder in Brady's case.
The issue on offense was Brennan not making reads and hanging onto the ball too long. WR's were open, you have to hit the windows in 3 sec or less. After that it is scramble and play break down occurs. The play calling could've been better too and the run game wasn't where it should be.

300+ yards, 3 TDs, and a pick.

Smart and Saban are eating this up. They've been in recruits ears that O needs to hire elite coordinators to be successful. O brings little to sustain a championship level program.

If you didn’t see an offensive regression coming this year you’re clueless.
