Are kids even getting it anymore? When our school started in August I heard of one kid getting it in the 2nd or 3rd week. Nothing since.

I think the policy should be don't ask, don't tell.

That's what's going to end up happening. Kids are going to come school sick for fear of repercussions of testing positive. And that's how the spread will really occur.

My kid has been back at school for well over a month with most kids on campus and I haven't heard a peep about any kids getting the Rona. They have to wear masks and do the ridiculous forehead scanning thing when I drop her off.

Ruel at my kids school is if a kid gets it, that class is quarantined for 14 days. Any siblings will also need to be quarantined for the 2 weeks, but their class will not unless they were showing symptoms as well.

So far the 2 times the school has had to deal with it this school year it was a teacher the first time and an aide the second time.

In the case of the teacher/aide, they would quarantine the class until they can review the security footage. If they can limit it to kids that were within 6' of the teacher/aide for 15+ minutes; they would then allow the other kids to return. If the parents wanted to keep their kids out for the remaining time, it would not count against the kids (but they would not get the refund for being held out for those in Pre-K).
