Is there a successful strategy to attack President Trump tonight? If you’re the democrat nominee, how would you approach tonight?

I’ve given this some thought and I believe the best way is to be extremely “presidential”. The other side (hell, even many conservatives) want him to be more presidential but they bitch and moan about everything else that doesn’t really matter instead. Muh Russia, Covid, impeachment, etc. all are ineffective. Why not go into the debate talking about the issues of taxation and how it affects the middle and lower class but do it in a way that reminds people of previous smooth-talking and professional presidents? The melting left longs for a savior like Obama - presidential, smooth, articulate - basically the opposite of Trump - but the left doesn’t know how to make that happen without bitching loudly about things that the majority doesn’t give a shite about. I think tonight’s debate, at least for Biden, could be a huge success moreso for what is NOT said or done.

Of course, I don’t advise any politician and if I did, I sure as hell wouldn’t work for the democrats but that would be my strategy more than anything else.

Here’s to eating popcorn and watching Trump destroy yet another opponent tonight. Even my wife, who doesn’t give a shite, wants to watch tonight.

I'd call him a dog faced pony shoulder and a bully. Then say C'mon! And call him liar. Say Covid 6 times. Then talk about Trump's kids. Then claim a lid after 5 minutes so he can't respond.

No doubt he'll receive heat on his China flu handling and somehow Biden will bring up the $750 in taxes thing but that's about all I can see. Doesn't mean I think he's in trouble over those two talking points but I really don't see any of the other projected questions being asked that could put a noose around Trump's neck by Biden.

They will
Continue with he is a racist, he worked with Russia, he hates Mexicans, he he same BS they have been saying for four years.

Anybody that still supports this version of the Democratic Party is too fricking stupid to know any different.

I think Biden has more to worry about than Trump if Trump effectively nails him, leaning on Biden's past.

THIS!! At LEAST 35% of Americans are convinced he is a racist and hates immigrants. Nothing short of a 40-hour de-programming session will change their belief.

Oh and also, 100% of them cannot point to anything actually racist or anti-legal-immigration.

They’ll attack him over the BS NYT piece on his taxes multiple times because the average viewer won’t understand it and it will make him sound mean and unfair. OMB.

All coronavirus all the time. Biden is stupid if he harps on race or taxes.

Point out that Trump is so divisive, His election guarantees further and violent division (which is true)...and that even with Biden's imperfections...he stands the best chance of bringing folk together (which is false, but will likely win those few 'undecided' votes that may matter).

Thomas Sowell is right; when people who have polar "First Principle" engage in debate, they only become more antagonistic toward their 'Opposition'. That's why Grandma forbade Religious/Political talk at the table.

He should bring a copy of this tweet with him:

Joe will undoubtedly bring this up, but he will get hammered and blow a gasket.

Racist, Sexist, Russia, Taxes, Impeached, Hates Military, Failed the US when it comes to Covid, etc...

This is going to be a 90 minute hit job on the President. Biden is going to be cooked up on so many uppers he'll seem 20 years younger.

Unfortunately for Trump any attack from Biden will be amplified 10x by the MSM. Almost any attack will resonate if you say it loud enough and long enough.

OMB's two biggest weaknesses are health care and Covid response. Joe will continue to hammer those augmented by the full force of the MSM including more suppression polls.

Explain how you aren't responsible for:
1. 200,000 china flu deaths
2. Unemployment and a ruined economy after all of the chia flu deaths you created
3. Only paying $750 in taxes
4. If all else fails, call him a racist and run off stage.

Mexico Didn't Pay for the wall

That's all I've got

What will they attack him over?
Biden/Dem talking points

Trump Virus has killed over 200k Americans

Trump wants to take away everyone's healthcare during a pandemic, that he caused

8 to 10% unemployement. Trump ruined the great economy that he inherited from Obama and Biden

Trump is taking away a woman's right to choose.

Trump doesn't pay his taxes.

etc.

This seems like it is all they have really have to go on. And none of it is particularly damning after about :15 of Trump countering Biden. If there were any Ace up their sleeve, it would have come out by now. The China virus one is particularly funny because you can twist a thousand things Biden said against him.

Biden will knock him on Corona as he continues to do which is STUPID. All Trump has to do is every time bring up him closing the borders and Biden calling it unnecessary.

I don’t get why Biden’s handlers don’t pull this strategy.

Try placing wedges between him and sections of the base that care about budget, spending, and the ACA.

Hammer his early COVID comments early and often just to keep him off balance and mad, a poor reaction is worth fishing for as well.

Wont be enough but that would be my game plan.

remember the game is not to convert voters but rather to affect turnout on both siders of the aisle.
