Today is what you get... Stingley and Vincent not being there aside, there were SO many plays where their receivers were getting 5+ yard separations on simple routes. It wasn’t just one guy that was getting burnt, either. I thought Eli looked great for a freshman and Flott was just okay, but the others couldn’t even keep up
I’ve never seen us with corners that can’t run with receivers....

But Corey Raymond is a hero to all of us I thought? That's what most say when he signs a big time DB and people say pay him more money. He's as responsible for today as Pelini.

There were some bright spots on the d-line tonight.

Ricks made a mistake on the TD he allowed, but overall for his first game, I thought he looked solid

Flott and Ward had a couple good plays in coverage, but overall they were nothing short of terrible

Evans, the poor guy, should not be anywhere near the SEC. One of the worst games from an LSU DB I can recall

The bigger question is, why do we only have one corner in this class after seeing the lack of depth and talent yesterday?

Maybe we should recruit fake players to go along with the fake fans

Idk, I thought 5,25,1 all looked pretty good but inexperienced. 25 made some plays and got beat on some plays buy some great routes, throws and catches. I think he will be fine but the safeties seemed like they might as well not even be out there and 26 should just return his jersey imo.

I thought flott looked pretty good last year when he was in there honestly. Had a bad day yesterday but maybe it’s a bump in the road.

thing is he was going up against #3 or 4 receiver, sure he had a few good moments, but he had other moments where he got flat out abused. He just doesn't seem to have straight line speed nor closing ability nor turning his head to make a play on the ball

There are only 2 3* Corners on the roster.

2 5*s
2 4*s

Flott was just okay

Flott was one of the biggest disappointments on Saturday.

He's going to have a target on his back all season. Ricks has talent, but his inexperience still cost us a lot. But, at least you can see how he will progress.

Ward was hurt. I don't know if he's any good, but I can forgive him trying to play with an injury. Evans was a disaster.

We no longer sign the numbers we used to at corner. It used to be we would sign 5 or 6 DBs in a class; now it’s 3 or 4.

this is what separates us from the likes of bama/Clemson

theres a big drop-off of talent/inexperience whenever LSU have players opting out

team doesn't have quality depth and it's always been like that

for every great 3 star theres probably a 3-4 who contribute very little

I mean most of them had very little experience whatsoever. Our best corner and our second or third best corner were not there

I would like to see Dwight McGlothern get reps. I don’t care if he’s only been on campus for a couple months.
