My dad is off Fortune and he lost power.

Yeah. Having been through a few storms in my 50+ years, when the winds get to around 45-50 you start hearing those kinds of sounds.

i was on fraternity row for gustav in lafayette and we didn't lose power because we were on that circuit with the cajun dome

Beauregard Electric has 200 of 43,000 people with power. Pretty sure we all lost it for Laura. That was a rough 4 weeks and here we go again...

Shrug. My house is from the 1890s. Just went through 60 mph winds without making a noise. Guess they really don’t make them like they used to.

Same. Lived her 20 years. Hurricane Lili in 2002 was the worst, straight shot from Abbeville to Laffy, but only lost power for about 12 hrs at most.
