Tailgating is mandated on all roads citywide.
I've been rear ended three times in Baton Rouge.

Are you pussies not going to show up and peacefully protest this?? While sipping bourbon and grilling?

LSU is a public university. You can show up and walk around with your friends. Hell, eat some food while you do it.
All they have is rules and LSUPD enforces laws.

When you get harassed just hold up a BLM sign.

i plan to go to the game. just trying to figure out what is allowed vs. what is not.
i ask because our mayor posted this:
and if this is permitted and published by mayor's office, is the decision not to tailgate an lsu one?

Unless you have an RV pass

Yea, whiplash the first two times wasn't enough. I needed that third one to really set it in for good.

I don’t think you can get on campus without a ticket
There is no free parking, you have to have a permit in all lots
It’s pretty shitty that SWB would promote an event called Health Tailgate BR to be done in NBR when no one else can tailgate but I wouldn’t expect her to do anything decent or smart

Tailgating on campus will not be permitted in 2020 and LSU Athletics is encouraging fans without tickets to enjoy the game from home in order to help minimize the number of people on campus.
In order to comply with public health guidelines, tailgating and tailgate setups, including tents, trailers, outdoor cooking, generators and communal food and beverage areas will not be permitted on campus. Fans are permitted to gather near their vehicle with household members or a small group with whom they traveled.

seems pretty tough to enforce

Not sure how this is enforceable. LSU is public property. They can restrict lots for parking, but as far as preventing you from going to campus, not sure.
Legal nightmare, IMO. They'll try to flex, but as long as there isnt a shiny gold badge in the mix, I'd ignore and carry on.

With limited people on campus I doubt that they enforce it but it’s the fact that they are severely limiting who can even be on campus
Point of OP (I think) is the double standard with a Broome hosting a tailgate event in NBR
OP should be updated if that’s the point he was trying to make, will get more attention & people need to see another example of why Broome needs to go

LSU one. The admin have been wanting to kill free tailgating for years now. I’m curious what will happen next year

I wondered the same thing but as we have seen all kinds of new rules can be made during a pandemic

Closed lots will be barricaded and monitored as public parking will not be permitted in those lots. Fans without tickets and a parking permit are encouraged to enjoy the game on television (CBS) or radio.

This should just be a slap in the face to everyone to wake up. Is this about the virus or the election?
Posted on 9/25/20 at 10:53 am to LoneStar23
i took it as a slap in the face.
baton rouge has had 1 covid related death in the last 4 days. 1. and i'm not even so sure if this one death was truly related to covid. could be an underlying condition.
i bet baton rouge has had more murders in the last 4 days than covid deaths.
she's a horrible mayor.

If I had to guess(and I'm basing this off Bama having similar restrictions) it's not going to be strictly enforced. They'll restrict parking on campus and break up any large gatherings, but if people are being responsible they'll ignore a lot of it. I think the biggest thing they're trying to avoid is a large number of people showing up on campus without tickets to the game.
Off campus depends on the city administrators. I don't know that Tuscaloosa has made an announcement, but we don't have a home game tomorrow. Not sure what they can do about folks on private property though.

If I had to guess, JBE has a tailgate spot and suite tickets for Saturday
