Anybody that says they didn’t like the 2007 season is a liar.

i didn't say it wasn't fun now, but the talent is so much more concentrated now. hopefully something changes in the 2020s.

Every time I watch that video I just smile uncontrollably

CFB has been a part of my life since I was brought into this earth and every little part of that video teleports me to the moment in time when I watched it happen.

I was in the south end zone of Tiger Stadium to see this
LSU vs Auburn
One of the best live football moments to see in person

Great decade for CFB. It’s great now, but I wax nostalgic for mid-late ‘90’s up to that 2009 season when I finished my time at LSU.

It doesn’t suck now, but I agree with the poster who said talent is more concentrated. We need another year like 2000 where a team out of the preseason top 10 wins a title (if it’s not LSU of course).

That was the play that I remember thinking...Miles is the luckiest coach in the world or the dumbest.

Game could've easily ended on that play when all they needed was a fricking FG.

Theories on Miles turned to the latter when LSU spiked the ball with 1 second left years later.

Nothing beat in the 2000s getting up at 7 am, pounding liquor, tailgating, watch a game, go to the bar, getting back late nite to watch College Football Final on ESPN (Lou Holtz and Mark May) or watch Reggie Bush destroy Fresno State with jukes while eating dank pizza and crushing bowls.

I will openly admit that the USC v. Texas game and USC v. Notre Dame of that year are the two best CFB games I've probably ever seen.

But I'll put 2007 Arkansas v. LSU right up there with them. LINK

That decade's RBs alone was unreal with Reggie Bush, Adrian Peterson, and Darren McFadden. It's an absolute football travesty DMac didn't win the Heisman.

You also had peak College Game Day and CFB Final.

The gameday crew even used to stay for the games they were at. Nearly every Saturday night, a ball or player would fly out of bounds and they'd show Corso right there.
I still love the sport. But I don't think the play and the vibe of the 00s will ever be beaten.

Oh yeah... And Sark after Dark on TBS. Nothing like still being at a party at 1:30 am and then seeing a live Pac 10 game on and going... Damn, they're still playing????

I don't think I've seen that level of play even in the Clemson-Alabama games. They had some great games but the star power and just electricity and it felt like every yard was a fight and they still scored in the 30's both of them...because they both averaged 50 points a game.

So that was a victory for them. Basically what I'm saying is every point in that game was duly earned the hard way and that's why people liked it. There was nothing fake about it or trickery.

This all day. This is why CFB is goat. Each Saturday is a big party. Until I get my late night games this year, it’s not the same. I miss those sold out stadiums already.

Would head out to bars but I somehow always made it back to the recliner in time for the college football final rerun. Ate every thing out the pantry and freezer. Oreo Ice Cream

Because the bars in college towns close at two, so by the time you stumble out of the bar, and then stop and get Taco Bell, you can catch the 3 AM sportscenter

And the reair, and the re-air, all while being so drunk you have to put one leg on the floor and the other on the wall while you lie in a bed that you're head believes is spinning in circles.

Cool video, wow some of these do not seem to be from over 10 years ago. Damn, time moves man

Yea no kidding. Watching that feels like a highlight reel from the last 5 seasons. Then you realize that almost all of those players have already retired from the NFL or are midway through some normal career like the rest of us.

It makes you feel bad for these young players going through this season the adults have messed up for them. It may seem like only one year to us, but to a college senior, this is their one chance at achieving their dreams. Or for 99% of seniors, the last year they get to live their dream. And they will have to do it in empty stadiums with no party after the game.
