I hope he votes yes to confirm and then the GOP kicks him out of their club.

Don't trust Romney at all.

Democrats will throw all kinds of shite at the wall once we have a nominee.

Romney can quickly become "deeply concerned" or "disturbed".

Or maybe he's seen some internal polling from Trump/Biden and this thing really is going to be an epic landslide......hopin;......

I think ACB fits enough of the narratives the left drives to make Romney "comfortable" with a yes vote. They can't pick her apart on grounds of race seemingly, she doesn't strike me as the type to go party in college heavily. Just doesn't seem like there are any skeletons in her closet. They would have dug them up and presented them by now if there were. The only thing they could attack for is religion or some other frivolous item which would make them look petty. Romney is a yes vote only because he can't find a fabricated reason to say no just to bust Trump's balls.

Either way, if Romney is a yes vote, it's a yes vote and puts ACB that much closer to the bench.

Frick him. They don't need him so it doesn't matter anyway.

Don't bet on it. He probably found some polling that said even the Mormons would kick him out on his bitch arse at the first opportunity, if he didn't.

This is a positive development on a couple of grounds:

1. Smoother path for a confirmation right now - pre-election.

2. Romney must be seeing some favorable internals - if he thought it was likely Biden was going to cruise, then he would be trying to curry favor with those people, instead of, you know, "Republicans" (in name only or not).

Romney knows the votes are already there and his don’t matter

Therefore he will confirm to try to save his seat when it comes up for election again in Utah

To be fair to Romney he has voted "yes" to confirm all of Trump's Article III judicial appointments and his political appointments as well. And he votes "yes" on most important Republican legislation as well.

He likes the restaurant, loves the food but hates the personality of the Chef.

You mean he’s for allowing a vote to go forward, right? There’s no way to know where that slime stands on a yes/no for whoever the actual nominee is.

Romney could take a “stand” on impeachment conviction because he knew the Dems were nowhere near the number of 67 votes and Mitch didn’t care. I’m sure he’s already been told why he’s voting yes and what will happen if he doesn’t.
