Woof. Turn around don’t drown and all that

You’re the only one more absent than me
Well, unless we’re talking about Astros not named Brantley or Tucker

I’ve flipped it on and off the last few weeks. Aside from whatever youngster is starting it’s pretty brutal to watch. Framber in particular has been a joy to watch (even when he’s not on) because he competes his arse off so I’ll be watching tonight.

I'll get the next for the perfect game

The Mariners starters name is Ljay
6.35 ERA over 11 IP, recipe for another horrid offensive showing tonight.
Which regular gets the day off for "rest" tonight? Probably Brantley since he's the only one hitting and running the bases. Too much injury risk

Well frick. At least now I don't have to tune in. I can read about the shutout tomorrow.

Ljay Newsome
RHP
0-1, 6.35 ERA, 8 SO
After pitching only 1 1/3 innings over a 19-day span due to postponements and a line drive off his right hand, the 23-year-old rookie was roughed up for five runs on eight hits in three frames on Wednesday.
I am going to say Ljay calls it a comeback tonight and pitches 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 9.

Just a reminder that Straw wen't 0/4 as a leadoff man yesterday.
He did, however, have a few foul tips.
I think he's earned one more shot at it. George's legs could use a break.

Sitting in a hospital bed right now bored out of my mind
As long as recovery and all that goes well, should be done with surgeries and all that jazz. Treatment would be over and I’d just need to do scans every 3 months
Thanks again to everyone for all the well wishes...it most definitely doesn’t go unnoticed. There’s something very comforting about the fact that so many people I’ll never see in my life act so kind to me

I crunched some numbers and found these nuggets. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry, so I did a little of both.
Yuli last 14 games: 6-46 (.130)
Correa last 13 games: 5-41 (.122)
Reddick last 13 games: 6-42 (.143)
Bregman last 5 games: 1-16 (.063)
Moldy Nacho last 5 games: 0-15 (.000)
Straw last 3 games: 0-11 (.000)
Garneau last 3 starts: 0-7 (.000)
The team in the last 8 games has scored 17 runs (2.1 per) and is batting .193 (48-249)...averaging 6 hits per game.
It is amazing they are 4-4 over that stretch.

One of these days, we're going to do a DAT at the ballpark. But not before Chicken grants me the name change I've been asking for since 2008. I refuse to wear the "Hello My Name is HooHoo" name tag.

But a special shout-out to those who currently do not have their head totally up their arse at the plate:
George last 18 games: has hits in 17 of the games, batting .320 with 8 HR.
Uncle Mike last 5 games: 8-19 (.421). But interestingly enough, he has ZERO RBI the last 12 games. I guess that could partly be due to the fact that the dipshits in front of him aren't getting on base.
Tucker last 7 games: 8-24 (.333) 1 HR, 4 RBI.
