Let's talk tire brands

I've been a Michelin fan for a long time and I've had good luck with them on all vehicles. I'm needing some new tires now and some Michelin are running about $200/ tire for my vehicle.
I'm tempted by some of these lower priced tires like Kumho or Cooper ($120 - $130), but I don't have experience with these.
What say you?

Had Cooper on my last truck, was pretty happy with them. I have mastercraft now, and they're not bad either

I've run Cooper tires on my vehicles for the past few tire purchases. I have no complaints.

I’ve had a couple of different Cooper tires, but on trucks, not cars. I would definitely look at them if I was in the market.

I'm pretty sure Kumho is what came on my truck from the factory. They have 31k on them and plenty of tread left.
ETA - I was wrong. Mine are Hankook tires.

I’m less brand loyal and more tire loyal.
I run Nitto Terra Grapplers on any truck or SUV I own that needs an A/T.
On performance cars I either run a Michelin Sport Cup 2 or a Toyo R888R for street use.

I’ve got a set of Cooper ATs and am very happy with them.

might help to know what kind of tire you want and what you're putting it on.

I've used Michelin or Continental almost exclusively over the past dozen years or so. I have Rikens on the MINI currently. Made by Michelin, inexpensive.

Wait for the OB boys to come in and say they got 75k to 90k on a set of mud tires

If its for a truck or suv and you want all terrains, definitely BF Goodrich ko2 or Toyo Open Country. Although the BFG seem to be more expensive recently than I remember them being a few years back. I've heard a lot of good things about Nitto Ridge Grapplers as well. I wanna say Toyo owns Nitto.

I drive a lot and my truck came with Hankook tires, got 74k miles out of the first set and I’m almost at 70k on the second set. That’s tough to beat in my opinion, I’ll be buying another set soon

I buy Douglas tires for my BMW but I race street so it’s just the lowest price ones and I burn them literally

So a $300 difference is making you want to take a chance on what, in your experience, has been a reliable tire?

I've been happy with the set of Hankook tires I currently have on my car. First time ever buying this brand and they're still holding up good after 3 1/2 years.

Michelin is generally the best but you're going to have to pay. I've been pretty disappointed with BFGoodrich (owned by Michelin) on both my car and SUV. They make a good All Terrain but that's about it. Next time around I'm just getting the Michelins.
