I’m seeing people post stuff all over social media calling for the abolition of the Supreme Court because:

“a system where 9 people determine how to interpret an entire constitution and establish policies for millions of people is not democracy”

You can’t make she shite up anymore

Dems loved it when they used courts to legislate from the bench.

this isn't wrong

I've been complaining about 'interpretation' for years.

Back in the day, the monumentally ignorant knew to keep their mouth shut. Now, they rule the culture. And there is nothing you can say that would disabuse them of the notion that ignorance is a virtue.

So far Democrats have threatened to riot, destroy the legitimacy of the Supreme Court, destroy the Senate, and get rid of the Electoral College if they don't get their way.

They just never had a platform to spew their ignorance. They’ve always been there.

Every time the Left loses, it wants to cancel something.

Absolute children.

I like to complain about my ignorance of the Constitution, too.

I was thinking of moving to another country. Maybe you should consider that.

Every developed nation on this planet has some form of a Supreme Court. What a bunch of maroons.

It wasn't ever intended to be democratic. It was intended to be the backstop. The Democrat fantasy of a living breathing Constitution, subject to the whims of an uninformed populace, that believe People Magazine is cutting edge journalism is comical.

Then call you a kook for saying they’re traitors

Not sure what a traitor would look like if it doesn’t include calling for a complete abolition of the established government

They have a good point

Roe v. Wade, Brown vs. Board, Gay Marriage was never voted on

Except for when it was in California and SCOTUS overturned it

Guess those decisions should be reversed

I’d be fine with that. Any part of government being abolished is fine with me.

The same people who scream that Trump is a threat do our democracy are the ones who want to cancel every institution that they don't currently hold or look like they will lose.

These people still do not know the difference between a democracy and a republic. Our country is a republic and has never been a democracy. Big difference.

this and the abolish the electoral college trend really are making me lose hope for this country.

When those that I voted for lost, I didn't whine about abolishing it any of these things.

I do agree the supreme court does need an overall, mainly in the form of term limits, prolly 12 or 18 years. I do agree there is an issue with interpreting the constitution, as it shouldn't have to be interpreted and should just be applied without a political leaning one way or the other.

I do agree that the EC does need an overhaul. It should be by a county/parish level so that one city or area in a state doesnt decide where all of the EC votes go. Sorry but when a candidate wins 3084 of 3141 counties/parishes in this country, the election should not be close.

Interestingly enough, there is nothing in the constitution that's says the Supreme Court is the only branch that can interpret or has the ultimate last say in what is constitutional.
