i'll take it and enjoy it. looking at what happened with Baylor - cancelling the game not because of positive cases, but because of contact tracing, shows how fragile the possibility of having a season will be.

won't get excited until I am actually watching a game on tv.

the covid Nazis simply cannot allow freedom and liberty. and football is a huge threat to that control. Vive La Revolucion!

Your uncle and co worker weren't 20 year old athletes in peak physical condition. The games must go on

While I agree with this statement, the widespread belief that this virus is harmless and shouldn't be taken seriously is absolutely disgusting. My moms first cousin (58 smoker) died choking on her own juices due to covid. She went to the hospital to get tested because she couldn't breathe. They sent her home after she got tested, and died in her sleep because of rapid advancement in symptoms. They confirmed a few days later it was Covid-19 when the test came back.

Idiot. I agree about playing the games with the current protocols. But 20-year old athletes are NOT going to be the only ones making that happen.

id be interested to know what their health was before, and how aggressively they were treated, too.

did they get HCQ+zinc, and steroids at the outset of symptoms? or did they wait and see like they've done with far too many people?

politicized known treatment is killing a major percentage of these people, but 19-23yo's have statistically nothing to worry about, especially if they're treated immediately for inflammation.

How about if John Cena told you that to your face???? What now???? My grandfather died in a car accident. That doesn't mean we should institute a zero tolerance 5 mph speed limit now does it??

This virus is real, and it has killed people. So have other diseases/causes. When someone belittles covid, 9 times out of 10 they are knocking the RIDICULOUS OVERREACTION we as a society have had to it. This is 99% political, and for those who don't realize this, I don't know how to open their eyes. And I am genuinely sorry that your uncle and co-worker died from this.

Your Moms cousin died of COPD or CHF due to years of smoking that was sped up by Corona virus

Well, thats what I though when she told me as well. She was not diagnosed of having any lung disease, but of course she had reduced lung function from smoking for years. Also people with asthma have reduced lung function as well, or cystic fibrosis, or the myriad of other lung function reducing diseases that are not immediately life threatening. Yet had she contracted practically any other pathogen she would have survived. Bottom line is had she not contracted covid-19 she would be alive and in otherwise great health.
