Seriously. It doesn’t matter. Trump has GOT to have a majority on the court, sworn in by November 3.

I’m literally scared AF right now for our country. But we can’t stand 3 wks of not knowing who the POTUS is (the ONLY guarantee about the election), without knowing the makeup of the SCOTUS.

If we have someone in place - we will be able to stablalize shite. We cannot have an even number of votes there. We just - cannot.

Yes! Monday. Give it time to settle a little. Give some time for a decision.

I got to hear a lecture about how her “story is so amazing.”

While normally I’m willing to politely listen. I just said: “stop it. The fricking country Is going to explode. You have no idea what you’re talking about.” I then drank heavily and now I’m talking to you Baws.

We have no certainty in any branch of government.

Trump has to nominate someone. He needs to wait about 72 hrs. Then - Plant the flag. Give his side someone to rally around. We cannot place this part of the Gvt on hold while we count Biden’s fake ballots.

It’s got to be Amy.

And Trump has absolutely got to win.

I dont find her story that amazing

Grew up decently. Went to multiple liberal ivy league schools. Became liberal activist in her field.

Wow.

So shocking and amazing.

Democrats will lose their minds if he nominates someone before she's in the ground.

Out of curiosity, how have previous Presidents handled it when a Justice died while still "on the bench". Obviously, this is different because it happened so close to an election, but just curious if they waited or dropped a name right away.

Here’s my concern.

Trump should absolutely nominate right away and the republicans should vote and confirm.

However, I have zero faith in these weak, spineless, handwringing republicans. All it takes is four republicans to sink this whole thing, make Trump and the Republican Party look weak and like failures, deflate the right, and energize the left.

Murk
Romney
Tillis
Collins
Gardner
McSally

Just four republicans could spell disaster.

This is a tremendously critical moment in history for the republicans now.

Sounds like you're a partisan hack

says a fricking partisan hack

You are talking to a poster vastly superior to you.

There is nothing "amazing" about RBG. She rose to be the head of the ACLU, some hack lawyer is going to. Then she had the correct genitals at the time to get a SCOTUS nom.

This nonsense about someone being "amazing" just because they are leftist while the do something hundreds of others have done is bullshite.

The left will probably postpone her funeral until the day after the election so they can say "she is not even buried yet and Trump is already trying to disrespectfully replace her" if he names a nominee soon.

Why is RBGs personal story so much more amazing than Sandra Day O’Connors? You know the woman who broke the gender barrier on the Supreme Court.

Exactly gthog

I went to law school. I’ve tried cases and written appeal briefs. The fact that RBG is supposed to be some sort of feminist heroine bc of it makes me roll my eyes. Almost as much as people who think I’m a “partisan hack” for not thinking RBG is the Babe Ruth of lady lawyers
