You haven't lived until you've watched Gone With the Wind in its original Klingon.

Another Korean I saw few days ago, In the Mood for Love, which has got to be the lushest cinematography I can recall, won many top awards.
Chinese, not Korean. Hong-Kong, specifically. Highly recommend everything from the director, Wong Kar-wai, especially ChungKing Express and The Grandmaster. His sequel to In the Mood for Love, 2046, is also great.

Why would you avoid awesome movies just because they're in a different language? Also, dubbed movies are way harder to watch than subtitled.

Amorres Perros. It's the first of the Trilogy of Death along with 21 Grams and Babel.
Didn’t know it was part of a trilogy. I’ll have to look them up thanks.

Think I’ve seen Babel. Liked it.

I’ve watched a few. One was this weird French time travel flick where a medieval knight is sent to the future (the 1970’s) by a wizard and finds out his old castle is now owned by the descendants of the wizard and his descendants are poor and work for him. It starred the ugliest male lead who is supposed to be handsome I have ever seen in a movie ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I watch most American movies with English sub-titles on as well (particularly Christopher Nolan lol)

Went on a big Kurosawa kick years ago. Das Boot was probably the firs I saw.

A few times - most recently I watched Generation War, a German language mini-series.

I've Watch Kung Fu Hustle dubbed abd Subtitled and that movie is MUCH better subtitled with people speaking in their native language.
Dubbed films suck!
Also...Would those famous "Hitler Rants" be good dubbed?

I don't think I've ever watched a dubbed movie all the way through honestly.
Subtitles only for me with every foreign film I've ever watched. Even stuff like Miyazaki/animated films where English dubs aren't as apparent, I always try to watch in the native language.

Das Boot in German is awesome. Amelie in French is very entertaining.

I think most people that see a good movie with subtitles, will give more of them a shot, afterwards You just have to get them to watch one really good movie. I didn't have the patience/commitment to sit through them, and pay attention, when I was young.
Now I watch foreign movies and some foreign TV with subtitles.

so many good movies
The Intouchables French 2011
You may have seen it as it's American re-make The Upside with Walter White and an angry Kevin Hart.
The French movie is infinitely better.
FWIW - Narcos on Netflix is >50% subtitled and it is excellent.

I'll watch American movies, documentaries and news with subtitles. It's amazing what you miss without it, or what subliminal messaging is written into the dialogue/script.

I would say bar none Princess Mononoke’s English dub is superior to the original, and I’ve seen both versions 5 plus times. Highly recommend that dub.
