Ok then they can cast her. I don't give a shite. I just like the idea of two different people playing the parts like the old show.

Disney has the money to CGI her like Ruffalo... no idea how much that’d cost though for a series she features in.

Makeup and costume and a personal trainer would help, but 5’4 is definitely small as frick. Only so much muscle she will be able to pack on.

I think cgi was probably the plan for any actress. Just like how they cgi Hulk.

But ole baw hits the protein heavy diet to pack on the hulk extra mass for those avenger team ups. Fun fact they give him 6 months in between banner and hulk scenes to get bigger so they can just paint him green. Very little CGI involved.

It's incredible what they can do with makeup these days!

Serious question, why not just get some chicks like this to play the Hulk version?

She-Hulk is a fun character. She's a fellow 4th wall breaker a la Deadpool.

She almost always ends up naked, somehow. It's a running gag.

And in her 4th wall, she is super aware of her sexuality.

Super fun

Jennifer Walters is 5'1" and as Shulkie she's 6'7". There was always going to be some sort of CGI but I would think they would have at least a body stand-in for the She-Hulk aspect with Tatiana's greened face CGI'd on.

You know with the 4th wall aspect there will be Orphan Black jokes and references all over the place.

At some point, she needs to tell someone, "You shouldn't threaten babies" with a Slavic accent.

For those who don't get the reference, Helena is the psychotic clone from Ukraine who proceeds to butcher a drug dealer and his entire crew with the blade of a paper cutter.

Since Chyna, I don't know of any female body builders who have been able or willing to break into acting.

Personal hope:

They have a scene set prior to the events of Endgame and get RDJ to cameo alongside Benedict Cumberbatch so that she can say "No shite, Sherlock..." then wink to the camera, even as Stark and Strange stare at the camera, completely oblivious to WTF is going on.

Just with the lead actress' performance in Orphan Black alone there are multiple seasons worth of 4th wall breaks.

I will laugh my arse off if, in a scene where She-Hulk is about to beat someone's arse, the "Helena" music from Orphan Black kicks in.

Did you threaten babies?

Also, don't forget that both she and Ryan Reynolds are Canadian...and both characters break the 4th wall...

I have no expectations for this. Are She-Hulk comics any good?

Yes. they are outstanding, even if they are sort of nichey even for comics. She's not a big seller, but her fans are pretty devoted. She-Hulk is a comedic character, and when handled well, she is one of the best characters in the Marvel universe.

The two definitive runs are first John Byrne in the late 80's, and he's the one who established her as a fourth wall breaking hero. Unlike Deadpool, she's not an agent of chaos, more of an audience surrogate dealing with absurdity of comic book logic. It could be over the top, but the Byrne run is rightly beloved, if not exactly a massive seller.

The more recent classic run is by Charles Soule, who wrote it as more of a legal procedural, but still a comedy. Not as much third wall breaking, but still a lot of hanging out with heroes when they are on their day jobs (like when she sues Stark Enterprises). It's more low stakes, and the biggest issue is keeping the business open, but that's a feature, not a bug. It was marred by a rotating cast of artists, some of whom were... not good. That was a bug. The run was short, but critically acclaimed, and likely the source material for the TV series Hopefully, they can bring back Hellcat, who works as her investigator.

If they can somehow work in a courtroom scene in which she and Matt Murdock are on opposite sides...
