I think this increases the odds of this election ending up being decided in the Supreme Court.

This presidency will ultimately be decided by the supreme court, and we all know it.
Worst case scenario for Trump, you know who will go 5-4 for Biden.

Here is the actual ruling if you guys are interested in reading it. LINK
Long story short regarding this particular portion of the ruling is that during an emergency laws mean nothing and politicians can do whatever they want.
How is completely disregarding the law which as written says the ballot has to be received by 8pm on the primary or election day not invalidating the election code's received-by-date deadline? Clown world.

The Secretary emphasizes that the remedy sought here is not the invalidation of the Election Code’s received-by deadline, but rather the grant of equitable relief to extend temporarily the deadline to address “mail-delivery delays during an on-going public health disaster.” Secretary’s Brief at 18. As no party is seeking the invalidation of the received by deadline, the Secretary rejects the suggestion of Respondent and the Caucus that the remedy would trigger the nonseverability provision of Act 77 reasoning that the Court would be granting “a temporary short extension to address the exigencies of a natural disaster” rather than “the invalidation of a statutory deadline.” She emphasizes that the statutory deadline would remain unchanged for future elections

If God is real RBG croaks in the next 7 weeks so John Roberts doesn’t get to decide the Presidency.

In light of these unprecedented numbers and the near-certain delays that will occur in Boards processing the mail-in applications, we conclude that the timeline built into the Election Code cannot be met by the USPS’s current delivery standards, regardless of whether those delivery standards are due to recent changes in the USPS’s logistical procedures or whether the standards are consistent with what the General Assembly expected when it enacted Act 77. In this regard, we place stock in the USPS’s General Counsel’s expression that his client could be unable to meet Pennsylvania’s statutory election calendar. General Counsel’s Letter at 2. The Legislature enacted an extremely condensed timeline, providing only seven days between the last date to request a mail-in ballot and the last day to return a completed ballot. While it may be feasible under normal conditions, it will unquestionably fail under the strain of COVID-19 and the 2020 Presidential Election, resulting in the disenfranchisement of voters.
Again. COVID means the Governor and Judiciary can do whatever they want regardless of the plain language of the law.

There you have it! Biden wins Pennsylvania.. oops sorry Heels-Up wins Pa.
The citizens of PA need to camp out by their state senators and representatives to put an end to this nonsense. I'm going to needle at my inlaws and do my part.

But only until Biden takes the lead, then they will suspend counting and vote acceptance.
Exactly. See 2000 in Florida. They had like 5 recounts and Bush won all of them and they were still counting heavy dem areas hoping Gore would win.
My response to that would have been. Bush 5 vs Gore 1... Bush wins the Electoral Votes. But of course dems were going to claim victory if they just won 1 of the many recounts. That is why the SCOTUS stepped in and put an end to the charade.

Surely that will be contested.

Lol, what's the threshold of a state's votes that are determined fraudulent to negate that state's electoral votes? One. One thousand? One million? Whatever flips the vote?
Whatever flips the vote would mean their EVs were fraudulent.
It’s just like any other contest.... if you don’t play fair you are disqualified. It really SHOULD be that simple.

quote:Yes. You are reading it wrong.
It reads like they have a few days after election to count them, which is customary, as long as they are received by election day.
Am I reading that wrong?
Ballots must be postmarked by the time polls close and must be received by county election boards at 5 p.m. on Nov. 6, three days after the Nov. 3 election.

Just give them the damn election so they don't have to work so hard to steal it
Posted on 9/17/20 at 4:22 pm to goofball
If that's the case, then regular polls should be open those three days, too.
Posted on 9/17/20 at 4:26 pm to deeprig9
It reads that the democrats have 3 days to go over the number they need to to win PA. If they need 14,000 up until 800 zillion xfininity they will have all the votes ready in a car or tree trunk.
The GOPe pubs best allow Trump (lawyers) to take this through the courts and get it thrown out quickly.

IIRC,
The ballots have to accepted even if the post mark isn’t legible (or even visible).

If they allow them to steal this election in that manner, there’s no reason to EVER vote again.

We really need to take the gloves off and start fighting fire with fire.
