Who's the best? Was going to Dr. Hatzis... but that's not working out well.

What is the injury? Are you rehabbing? Need surgery?

Is that a thing?

I guess they can go to a shorter medical school.

Check out BROC. There is Waggenspack, Winder, Bankston, and a few others. Waggenspack is legit. For rehab on a frozen shoulder go see Patrick Cook at peak.

Bankston or Rodriguez.

Edit: Was using Field, but I will have to have surgery soon on an issue he completely blew off multiple times.

Mark Fields (Baton Rouge Ortho) did my rotator cuff 10 years ago. No problems or complaints.

Make sure to have a good supply of button up shirts.

I had a superior labrum tear, anterior to posterior. Chip Bankston repaired it and I’ve been back in the gym slanging Iron with minimal issues.

I have a slight minor grade rotator cuff tear and I’ve been working thru it. Rehab it once - I just don’t want to be in a sling for 6 weeks.

Bankston

Older Bankston and younger Bankston (I believe his nephew?) performed two back to back knee surgeries on my wife. Bankston is the man, he walked in and diagnosed my wife within 2 mins of examining her (not exaggerating) and we were extremely apprehensive as she had been to 3 other doctors in 5 years for the same issue without help. The surgeries he had to perform are extremely rare (less than 10 are performed in the US per year) and he was the one who developed the surgery. She says over and over that going to see him absolutely changed her life and she can actually hike, walk the dogs, etc.

Highly recommend Bankston, plus you get a glimpse of him on TV every once in awhile which is cool. I would be highly surprised if he DIDN'T at least lurk on here.

If you are wanting someone in BR and wanting to get away from BROC....Jeremy Burnham at Ochsner or Mazoch at Bone and Joint

Had a good experience with Craig Greene at BROC. Had pretty bad arthritis and small rotator cuff tear in my right shoulder. After 6 months of various treatment options and bouts of laying off training I went for the arthroscopic surgery to make some space and clean up some bone spurs. Started working out upper body again about 3 months later.

Dr. Chip Bankston is really good. Dr. Brent Bankston is the OG. He does a lot of the surgeries for the LSU athletes and is usually on the sidelines at the football games in case they need him immediately.
