ESPN continues to make a complete mockery of itself...

Love Triplett's response:
quote:

"Sure, I guess you could rank the Superdome all the way down at No. 18 if you don't care about deafening crowd noise, being able to walk over to the historic French Quarter for world-class dining or the sheer history of this place. Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, the '85 Bears, Tom Brady and Joe Burrow have taken turns winning championships over five decades inside this iconic building -- which also provided one of sports' all-time great revivals after Hurricane Katrina."

The Superdome is a top 10 important American sporting venue, not just NFL.

Who gives a frick if its not flashy. Plus its a PERFECT viewing experience.

The minute the superdome was designed, everybody should have just gone "yeah this is the design for a sports stadium" and all stadiums should have looked just like it.

It's fricking freezing and if the Saints played in a stadium like that in the freezing cold, I'd never have gone see them. No game is worth that.

Prior to opening, let me guess?

#1 SoFi stadium?

Edit:

So nowhere near #1, but Cleveland is #11 cause their tickets are cheap? That's cause no one wants to buy them

shite list. Heinz Field, Raymond James and the Lincoln Financial all in the top 10? Jerryworld at 6 and the Benz at 12? Lambeau at 1 is good if you go solely off history, but if you're doing that, why is Soldier Field so low? Lambeau sucks if you take out the historical value.

The dome is top 5 just on location. The modern stadiums being built an hour and a half away from the city are a joke.

Add in the history and atmosphere and its asinine to put it 18. I’m sorry this writer thinks it’s cold and he can’t get sushi from the concession stand.

Too low, I haven't been to many NFL stadiums but I have been to both Seattle & Nashville for football games. Great locations, not better than the Dome.

The Superdome had as much foresight and wisdom from its designers as the US Constitution had from our founders.

One of the greatest architectural masterpieces in the history of Western Civilisation (both in aesthetic design and function - ESPECIALLY in function).

The superdome is perfect for New Orleans. It’s a shithole.

The design makes sense for what it is and all the purposes it's used, but I still wish the overall seating configuration was closer to the field.

Any other gripe is rather silly. I hate the modern day obsession with "amenities" at sporting venues.

Lambeau is a shite hole. It's basically a third world country compared to most all of the other stadiums.

How does Atlanta and TB not rank near the bottom for atmosphere? Heck the big comment for Atlanta is the friendliness of concession workers. Of course, they do not have much to do.

Have you been in the Dome in the last 15 years? Clearly not.

The atmosphere in the Dome is electric for the Saints, and I have some nostalgia because I went to my only Superbowl and a few natty’s there.

With that being said, the physical building needs some updates. Biggest change though needs to be to the fan friendly pricing.
