There's another dude who rides around in Southeast EBR. He used to work with the guy with all the old Corvettes rotting away on Antioch. I was on that side of town this weekend and saw him and was kind of surprised he's still around.

Rode my bike from that repair shop on airline near what's now a fitness place to 621. Vehicles screaming by at 65mph is kind of unnerving. especially knowing 1/2 of them are looking at their phones.

I passsed him on Airline near 621 last Friday and a State Trooper was pulled next to him and I saw the trooper offer him a box of food.
On the way back there was Acadian Ambulance pulled up as well and picked him up.
Didn’t look like he was hit by a car though. He was just sitting on the side of Airline.

Hope ole baw is ok. I been running in to Droop for like 25 years. First time he was sweeping the floors in the original Leaders for some lunch. Threw down the “Yeah you right” at some guy who made a comment to him.

Heart attack. Hole in his heart. Kidneys have stopped working and he is on dialysis.
Dr.s operated. They have him sedated because they don't want him to move.

Through the years I would see him in various places well away from gtown on his bike. There was a time when I would see him in Livingston parish and central area. Now he seems to just hang around Gonzales praireville area.

Keith Mc used to have a repair place. I thing it was on Airline and Post Office road. Blackie R. lived on 621 and Airline but I just saw his house, and auto parts store, are gone.

Poor Droop. If he has heart issues with all the exercise he gets then none of us have a chance. I hope he pulls through.

I used to see Droop every once in a while on my rides, I would usually offer him an energy bar. I offered him my helmet once but he didn't seem interested in wearing one. I haven't seen him in a year or so.
