Stiflers mom I have known the house for a while, but I just learned recently that Linda Hamilton lives full time in NOLA, which means we have the best chance at defeating the machines.

Good for that family. I am surprised he never dabbled in old metairie grocery market. I guess Langensteins has that on lock down.

Umm, the "Old Metairie" Rouses (or as my daughters call it, the "Gucci Rouses") is on the corner of Labarre and Airline. Spud is there all the time; saw Peja back in the day there once, taking far too long to look at toothbrushes. Have seen many other notables there, and all my regular Old Metairie peeps shop there.

Those lots were cut larger too on Tokalon, which is why people have bought them for tear downs.

That is one of the shittiest rouses. It needs a renovation badly. The quality of people in there is not great either. Have you been recently? Langensteins has a much better clientele and never crowded. Even during Christmas season there are barely lines.

The Rouses on Airline has long lines often. It used to be nicer and better, but it's not anymore.

That wasn't for the good tickets. It was 10k per person to actually meet him.

Gauthier? I'm pretty sure he moved across the Parish line into Orleans, but at another place also named Metairie about 20 years ago.

Wendell & his wife lived in Old Metry - maybe on Iona. Went to fund raiser there a long time ago - like mid 90's. When he was still alive. He may have lived in River Ridge before he made all that cash from Pan Am & exploding gas lines in Kenner.

Board needs to tweak its feature so you can figure out exactly what post people are replying to.

Didn’t mean any harm. A family member worked in music and I’ve heard a few stories of whacky fans trying to meet their idol. Everyone deserves their privacy when at home. All good man.

Guidry (he is not a popular guy in the OM due to oak tree malfeasance)

is he the one that owns the massive house on the corner of Fredrichs that always has private security forces around it?

Yep.

Sucker actually was able to finagle the fencing in of PUBLIC PROPERTY (right-of-way between his property line and curb) on the Freidrichs side of his house. The Old Metairie Commission voted unanimously against it, but the councilwoman representing the district at the time voted for it and the rest of the council fell in line. Not surprising as the (now former) councilwoman's father was a big crony of the Guidrys, along with Edwin Edwards.

Remember the time the Guidrys and Al Copeland got into a fight at a steakhouse? Classy.

This. Hell I even prefer going into Canseco's over that Rouses.
We are way off topic now.

Agreed.

Fresh Market and Langensteins are clean and never really crowded.

If our Rouses looked like those on the northshore, I would consider shopping there. The one on airline is nasty...especially a large percentage of the clientele.

Tokalon

I don’t know if he still lives there, but I remember hearing a while back that Will Clark had moved from a house right off of Northline to Tokalon.
