The metro council held a virtual meeting and only 1 white council member would vote to approve the settlement in the death of Alton Sterling.
This council has failed the people of Baton Rouge, and racism will ultimately cost the city millions more than the $5 million brought by Councilwoman Chauna Banks today. This one incident had cost us millions in police overtime, and hundreds of thousands in legal fees and counting. This case has also stained the image of Baton Rouge to the nation and this council is responsible for that.
If the cop were Black and the victim were white they would’ve settled for $10 million.
Council members Jennifer Racca, Scott Wilson, Dwight Hudson, Trae Welch and Denise Armoroso did not vote to approve the settlement. You can email the council at metrocouncil@brla.gov

There's a reason for all that OT and it is racism...but not by whites.
Alton Sterling was a thug piece of shite that resisted arrest and tried to pull a fricking gun on the cop while they were trying to make a lawful arrest in response to a citizen complaint.
He made his decision and he paid for it.
East Baton Rouge parish doesn't owe his family anything other than the bill for the bullets.
