Bold prediction:

The "they are starting a war to help with the election" crowd will claim Trump is "withdrawing troops to help with the election."

We are there to fund the MIC....make no mistake. IMO US Presidents allowed the NorKos to develop nuclear arms to stoke fears and allow for more advanced equipment to be sold and placed all over Asia. Look at the Presidnts it happened under and tell me they were not feeding the MIC. But now we have to cover our asses and stop both of them from trying to reclaim each other and kicking off a global conflict forcing super powers to chose a side. Bad for everyone.

Bolton was right when he wrote in his book that the overriding consideration in any Trump policy decision is how it will effect his re-election.

You guys seem to be a little slow on the uptake on this, especially since it’s only 60 days from the election.

A good thing done, even for shitty reasons, is still a good thing done. You can dislike the man and advocate for whomever you believe will provide the best future, but blindly hating everything he says does no good.

I do too. He will never be re-elected. Unless something is done about ballot harvesting and mail in voting

This is the press conference I would like to watch. The gotcha questions would be next level cringeworthy. The answers would be savage.

But no doubt this will que up the muh Russia talk and muh abandoning our allies and interest.
the response will be this and that he's only doing it as a PR counter to the Atlantic story for spin just before an election.

Personally I dont care what the motivation is, if its safe this needs to be done everywhere, getting troops home is the only part that matters. frick the "why", tell me "when".

Your problem is you’re accustomed to politicians campaigning on one thing and doing another.

So, is this a decision that those who voted for me into this office would want?

Sounds to me like how things are supposed to function in a democratic republic.

You really are a despicable bastard. Listen to yourself. You sound as if you'd rather our troops continue to be killed in a pointless war we've been fighting for 2 decades rather than Trump have a perceived political win.

Well, I am assuming the Dems are now warhawks… and will take the position that we need to stay, we must stay...

Cannot make this stuff up...

That is true.

But, my comment was not so much a comment on Trump and more on those who blindly praise Trump for everything he does or says without any consideration of the why and how and when.

Your opinions can't be taken seriously if you don't even know the difference between "effect" and "affect."
