I wonder what Giannis and Darvin Ham’s relationship is like...

Or the Pels would one of the few teams with potential assets to pull it off.

Why wouldn't OKC be on the list at all?

God that’s a lot lol. Who would play the 5 for us? Giannis?

If you're 100% certain he'll extend, it's not a lot at all IMO.

Problem is the front end, you can never be 100%, and it's just not worth 1 season.

Like Steph Curry or Klay Thompson shocking.
I could see a wild scenario where they offer Klay, no shot on Steph. None.

or you get an MVP ready supermax Giannis at around 50 million a year for the next 5 years.
Someone can correct parts I may get wrong, but this is how I understand it.

It wouldn't be a super max because only Milwaukee can offer it. He'll only potentially be traded if he turns it down. From there, this is the part I'm not sure about, I don't think the team that would acquire him via trade can offer an extension until the offseason.

So therein lies the risk, give up the world to get him, and he bails after 1 season.

The Giannis trade I put forth would essentially be Giannis for Zhaire, NAW and 4 first rounders, probably would need more picks added (as I stated, and we could probably get Philly to add more), but that would be a solid offer that would be hard for another contending team like Miami or Toronto to beat.

Disagree on it being a solid offer, would definitely need more as you stated, lots more.

Think about it, AD basically forced us into a situation where the Lakers were the only team we could trade him to realistically, and they still gave up more than what you put out there for Giannis, who will have more trade value than AD.

You wouldn't do that to pair giannis with Zion and ingram

Huh?

You're saying you wouldn't trade Jrue, Hayes, NAW, and let’s say 5 1s if you were 100% certain Giannis would sign long term here?

Griffin would be looking like Usain Bolt, running to sign the dotted line on that deal.

But again, there will not be that 100% reassurance, so that would never get any traction.

We also had other teams bidding for AD (Boston). What works in our favor is all the teams that would be competing for him have traded away pretty much all of their picks, Miami has none, Toronto is low, Lakers have none, Clippers have none. Portland has some, but unless they throw out CJ they can't beat the offer. Denver would have to throw out MPJ, etc.

If BI or Zion isn't included in trade for Giannis then we are not getting him lol

Crewz had an interesting trade proposal this morning, zigging on this zag.

Bucks get: Jrue, #60

Pels get: Bledsoe, DJ Wilson, 24, 22 1st swap option, 24 1st, 26 1st.

Bucks betting on the short term to keep Giannis, Pels betting on long term he doesn't stay or that a huge stash of picks will be enough to trade for star.

Doesn't help us that much in the short term, but we know have the largest trove of picks in the league.

Was at least interesting instead of variations of the same few Jrue trades.

That's an interesting trade because while Jrue > Bledsoe, Bledsoe does bring enough to the table that you wouldn't lose too much and you do gain several future assets for the war chest.

But again, not giving a full on bid because they had no reassurance that AD would stay with them.

What doesn't work is the extremely small(Most likely zero) chance he'd sign an extension with us.

Miami has none
They don't have picks but they have a shite ton of young players.
Bam/Herro/Robinson/Nunn.

What all this would potentially mean is Milwaukee sends him to the highest bidder, who then risks losing all those assets for a half or 1 year rental of Giannis. Some of those teams may be in a position where it's worth, the Pels are not.

A year and half rental probably gives us the best chance we will ever ever have to win a championship with BI Zion and Giannis....

I’ve followed this franchise.. I dunno... since the 90’s and we’ve never made it out the second round!

I’d take that year and and a half and roll the dice...

There's no guarantee we get out of the 2nd round with Giannis in the West.

Giannis just nearly got swept in round 2 in hte East to Miami. It's far from a guarantee that BI/Zion/Giannis and not much else can get past a Lakers or Clippers squad in round 2 next season.

I highly doubt we get him, but I do think we will be part of a 3 team trade for the Heat

The Pels are becoming a destination team.

Their rep has definitely has improved, but this also has to deal with who has assets to accomplish it. The Pels have a ton of picks and will make every player but Zion available.

Giannis is overrated. He is an elite athlete but lacks basic basketball skills. His highlights overshadow his weaknesses. He will never win a championship unless he develops better bb skills.
